Is there a difference between intraculturalism and interculturalism?

intraculturalism is one group of people getting together to promote their common culture. Sub groups exchange ideas, but without losing their different identities. The problem with intraculturism is that it may encourage hostility towards anyone not in the group.

interculturism is people from different groups combining to form a common culture. This is a good philoshophy, provided the common culture is broad enough to suit most people.

Immigrants would be excluded by a policy of intraculturism

With interculturism immigrants are aborbed into the prefferred host culture or allowed to continue with their own culture but at a disadvantage. The dominant culture is somehow seen as being more deserving. A problem arsies when the host culture is no longer the majority culture, as then there is a conflict as to which culture if any should take precedence.

Multiculturism promotes the idea that the different cultures should have equal priority and rights within a state or region. This is a stupid and dangerous idea in my view as it encourages uneccessary division and conflict. It must surely be better to make the common culture broader and more flexible, than to encourage segregation within society.

Intra refers to inside, Inter refers to between. So I would assume "intraculturalism" means inside the culture, and "interculturalism" means between different cultures.
