Australia's carbon tax from a prime minister who said "there will be no tax"?

Is everyone happy now that the greens have gotten their way and we're doomed with this crippling tax until we can throw them out of the senate??

So I'd be happy to know what your thoughts are and please anyone who sprouts "climate change the sky is falling" will be cheerfully ignored

Update:

Edit didn't i say I wanted sensible comments

Its bad but I wouldn't say we're doomed. It has nothing to do with climate change but at least its the big companies paying taxes rather than us paying the big companies like Abbott wants.

I can't actually believe the coalitions policy on this. It takes a special kind of stupid to top the governments carbon tax but I do believe the libs have done it.

    PS. Reigh, you are retarded.

EDIT: Anti-physcho, Abbott is right in that video, a simple tax like they are doing is a million times better than an emissions trading scheme. doesn't mean he supports the tax or that its a good one. I would support Abbotts policy over an ETS.

How about some actual truth on this issue? Have a look at Tony Abbott saying 'If you want to put a tax on carbon, why not do it' to David Speers from Sky News. I am sick to death of the lies about this issue. The same rubbish was thrown at us about the mining tax and all that led to was wealthy foreign mining owners getting richer. Watch the video of Tony and then reconcile your anger at Gillard with what he has said. And if the link does not work google it.

I'd rather a "crippling" tax than having the planet destroyed.

We'll just have to find ways to live that don't destroy Earth. We're smart. I'm sure we'll manage.
