Is my laptop overheating?
Whenever I play games on my laptop, it gets a lot hotter than usual. Now I know its to be expected, but I usually play pretty simple games and my computer is a gaming laptop, so I don't think it should be getting so hot.
I have a Dell xps 15z and whenever I play something as simple as minecraft, the vents on the back and bottom become almost too hot to touch. Is this normal or should I change some settings or get better ventilation or something?

Some laptops are made to run hot. While i'm playing dragon nest my laptop goes from 40 to 65~70 degrees. Some laptops even reach 90+ temperatures.
as long as you keep the vents clean you shouldn't have any problems. also make sure that the vents are not block if you want go get a laptop cooler to improve air flow.

It's normal for laptop because of the graphic card and cpu heating up when playing game. You should get a laptop cooler it will help a lot. If it is overheating then your laptop will shutdown when it overheats.

laptops usually run hotter than desktops as a result of the cooling not being as powerful, if you are really worried, buy a cooling pad.
