Toshiba laptop won't read a CD/DVD, doesn't show in My Computer?
Laptop was able to read CDs and DVDs no problem, then one day suddenly the whole D drive does not appear for some reason. No viruses, no damage done...any ideas?

Well it could be a driver issue in which case go to toshiba's web site and look for your model and download a new one. Other options would be check bios to see if it is reading the drive still, if so then likely its a driver issue, if not then it could be the drive itself
