Can i lock a bank account?

Question

Me and my older sister wont to save up money together so we can move and have a ranch together...we were both wonderin if it was possable if we were to open a bank account and to lock it in a way where we cld both put as much money as we cld in but where we cant take any out until a surtin date or where both of us are at the bank together....?

Cd's are a great idea but banks require you to buy them in chunks of $500 to $1,000
Also, it's not a good idea to buy a home with a relative.
What if 20 years she falls in love and marries and moves out.
It could happen, even though you think it wont
You are then stuck with the entire mortgage payment

Not really by date, even a cd can be cashed early with a penalty,  but you can open an account where both people must sign for either to withdraw money ..... but it's a big argument waiting to happen....... unless you both agree and put it in writing, then you will both live up to it or you can go to small claims court and solve it
