HELP ~ OPINIONS NEEDED?

Question

Last night everyone was getting drunk. I WAS SOBER. My guy friend that i really like went on some stabbing rampage and stabbed a guy in the leg, one of my friends got his hand cut from stopping him, and he threw a metal pole at my other friend's head. When i went to give him a hug goodbye, i trusted him fully. I trusted him with my life, even tho there was a bloody knife behind my back open. Before i hugged him i could see the violence in his eyes and when i hugged him i felt the tension. But no matter what...i trusted him. We'v been through a lot together and we have a lot of the same background. i guess what im trying to ask is WAS IT RIGHT TO TRUST HIM? SHOULD I NOT HAVE TRUSTED HIM LIKE I SHOULD?

i wont call the police. they'r all my friends and we watch out for each other. anyway, half of them were on probation and werent supposed to be out.

and i dont want new friends. i love my friends more then my family.

wow....  just make sure you never let your friends get drunk again. and no, you shouldn't have trusted him the way you did. but you're alive. so it's over now.  just don't let your friends get drunk!

I'm trying to be nice here, but since I've known people who were murdered by people they trusted, I don't have fantasy goggles on.  You're a fool if you do something like this again, and you need to find new friends.

You should have called the police. No matter how much you love this friend.. He needed to be stopped. He could have killed someone, he could have killed you. I wouldnt of even gotten near him..
