One for Agnostics, one for the imagination.?

Given that we can't know how or what 'God' is, any idea could be right (but most likely wrong).

I was hoping you could give me one of your ideas on who or what 'God' might be and why it created what we know as reality. Or something like the one that says our galaxy is just a single atom inside another reality.

Anything goes, I'd love to hear some other ideas.

Thanks

Update:

Just for the record, I don't believe in God. I'm an Agnostic Atheist, but I like to bat ideas back and forth about possibilities; you know, just more fairy tales. Like, the entire universe is a social experiment that we are part of. Or, the human mind is another series of universes in itself and you are the God of all of them; we just happen to be part of the imagination of some other sentient being; an infinity spanning series of universes that fold over themselves where all realities exist.

I accept that if we ever do find out, we won't call it 'God', you're probably right that. I just used the word because we're all familiar with it at the moment.

I have had that theory. That a certain amount of size creates a new reality. An atom to us might be a planet for someone else. Our Galaxy might be an atom and our universe a molecule for another reality too large to see. This means that size could be infinite and so would space. Another idea is that our reality is similar to a video game program and fringe physicists have found clues that our reality behaves very similarly to a video game as far as atoms go. I find that idea particularly interesting, as I am very much into video games and considering these implications of this, it could mean anything could be physically possible if the coding of the universe was re-arranged.

I am unsure that there is a God.

But if there is one, I'm not sure if God would create us!

But anyway, if there is one...

I think God is like the president of the universe right. God is impersonal to humans. He rules over his dominion, not really paying much attention to a specific person - such as me. And the things he does might or might not affect me.

But I doubt that he would go out of his way to punish me or to reward me - personally!

And yeah! great idea, like our galaxy is just an atom in a bigger picture. We are not that important in God's scheme of thing. I think evolution is a better depiction of how we came to be, because I don't think God was the one who created us; random things in his dominion just randomly created us.

And so being part of his dominion, we could feel a slight effect of his rule sometimes; like we could feel an slight increment of tax raise or things like that when our president signs a bill. But most of the time, we probably don't feel him.

Having said that God is impersonal, I still say that we cannot ignore him. Just like everything that we know in existence follows certain physical laws in his dominion, so do we! If there is a God, it doesn't matter how impersonal he is towards me, my action will not escape the law of his land.

And why do we limit to only one God? Maybe there is a race of Gods! Like once, we thought we were the only planet, but no! the only galaxy, but not! The only universe? That is starting to change! So Why is there only one God?

I don't know, anything is possible. Maybe we're actually living inside a locker like in Men in Black. Or maybe we're living in the Matrix. Who knows.

Either way, I think that God is irrelevant to normal human function - God is not a personal being. For a being that has created the entire universe, it would seem silly to think that God really cares about things like homosexuality or the Church.

I think that *IF* there is something. It's just energy. Some sort of force of energy. Maybe a little more than just atoms. Maybe sentient in a way. Maybe not. The world was birthed out of energy. Who knows. That's my idea and I don't believe anything is governing us. Or if there is a sentient being up there...I doubt they care.

Listen...if one day something is discovered or found, it's not going to be named "god" even if it is a cause of everything. It will named after the scientist that discovers it. Or maybe just called the principle of everything, the grand unified theory.

There is not a "god". There could be something we find.

"God" is a term used in mythologies.

    Agnosticism is theism.

Most atheists are actually agnostic theists.

    I am gnostic atheist.

I'm God and I created everyone else for my own entertainment. Also, I temporarily wiped out my memory of being God so I could live as one of my creations live.

I'm agnostic, but God doesn't mean he is creator, he can be anything.

How do you you know, specifically, that " we can't know how or what 'God' is"?

Where, when, and how did you come by this knowledge?
