If the concept/reality of 'God' was suddenly forgotten, would he cease to exist?
As in; if for no apparent reason everyone on the plant inexplicably forgot everything they had ever been told about God or their religion, would it continue to be an influence on their lives, decisions or opinions?

GOD was and will be for ever, so even if no one knew about him he would still be there. If no one knew about him then maybe HE would make a disaster and get there attention. HE could also come and end the world maybe, but there is no way that he would not exist.

it would stop influencing people in the sense that they wouldn't do things in the name of god, but im pretty sure they would just find a substitution, like when people worship the sun, or plants and animals.

of course if people forgot every thing they would not know about god and would not make decisions based on god
