Can I change my house number from 13 to 12 1/2?

Question

Hey,

I'm a little bit superstitious .... so, how much would a change of my house number cost?
It's the number 13 and I like to live in e.g. 12 1/2 or 12a or 14 1/2... everything between 12 and 14 but not 13.

Where do I have to got to? Does a department for such things exist?
I don't wont to change the iron made number above my door but change it "officially"!
(and "then" change the number above my door;)

Lots of councils and builders these days try to avoid using a number thirteen. However, why not give your house a name? A name would be better than a number.

Try contacting your local council, and ask for their advice.

You would have to ask your local Council as they are the Department responsible for house numbers.

In the UK, you would have to inform the Post Office of any change, then I would suggest you use a name only, you may find that some mail will still come to the number.

you can't all you can do is ad a house name to change the balance of the house
but i live in a 4 house and luck or the lack of it is really down to me not the number on your door
