How do I approach this shy and quiet girl?

i'm kinda shy and quiet as well, so we like confident people because they have what we lack. So she would love it if you approached her. Because it means you're interested in talking to her, and you won't scare her away lol

why will you approaching her scare her away? she is shy and quite, but that doesn't mean she's not strong in heart. i myself don't talk much and i hesitate a lot to approach someone first. its kind of a relief to me if that person starts talking to me without me taking the first step. i really appreciate that.

Rick, don't worry so much. be confident. girls like us like confident people, though not over confident or arrogant. but you don't seem like that. so i suggest that you should talk to her and be your usual self. its not that easy to scare a person unintentionally.

yes, i also think you should talk to her about things you both have in common. i would also tell you to let her be comfortable and not talk so much on the first day. just 'hi' 'hello' 'oh,this class is so boring' kind of stuff. try to notice which book she's reading or which CD she has. you can also try to know about her from her friends. though try not to sound like a stalker!

Just go to her and say hi, and try talking to her taking topics which you both are commonly interested in. :)
