How much blood is in a hospital bag?

When a person gets a blood transfusion at a hospital, how much blood is in a unit or a bag? Is it a liter or a pint or what?

Update:

Please answer in pint or liter, not ml...I don't understand that measurment..thanx

    The vast majority of "blood" transfusions are red cell units, derived from volunteer whole blood donations. The blood collection sets used by most blood centers are 500 ml bags, approximately one pint. A red cell unit, produced by centrifugation of the whole blood unit, contains approximately 250 ml (1/2 pint) of RBC's and anticoagulant/storage solution.

    I believe it's 1 pint. Because when I gave blood, they gave me, "a pint for a pint" coupon for free ice cream at baskin robins. Ha ha
