What careers can I pursue if I study physics?
I am an IB student with physics, math and chemistry at a higher level. I really love physics and I think that I would like to have a career in researching, or working with interesting things such as the hadron collider... My question is; how hard is it to get a good career in physics after graduating? Is a PhD needed to have a good job? What kinds of careers can I have if I study physics?

To do end up doing research in physics you really need to be willing to work your butt off! Its probably one of the hardest subjects a person can major in.....With an undergrad degree, you can probably get into some junior research positions or due to your quantitative background end up in the finance field and end up doing an MBA or something. A friend of mine majored in physics and economics and is now in grad school for econ.
Although to end up working on things like the hadron collider, u'll definetely need to come out of a good grad school (phd level), with some good research and what would really help is having a highly respected thesis advisor aswell
