The first thing I would do would be to pay off the Yahoo! Answers folks so they would NEVER allow this question again.

It's asked every day, and it only encourages people to waste their money on lottery tickets.

What's the allure? Ignorant and poor people are LURED into thinking they actually WILL win the lottery someday. The lottery companies feed on these delusions.

Advantage - for those people who ONCE IN A WHILE spend a buck, it's worth it for that dream of "winning it big", even though it'll NEVER happen.

Disadvantage - Supposedly the lottery helps support some great things in the community. You know what it's called when you collect money to support great things in a community??? It's a TAX!!! This time, however, the tax is primarily on the poor and on the ignorant.

First I would save it in the bank. Secondly, I would give one quarter of the money to my parents. Thirdly, I would take out part of it and pay my college tuition.

1. The enticement in playing makes u feel somewhat unlucky. You feel a sense of suspense with some kind of hope.

2. The only advantage I can think of is that there is a slight chance for you to get lucky. For disadvantages,1. there are many people playing the same lottery you are. 2. If you loose a lottery, you keep going back in order to secure your win therefore you waste most of your money on lottery tickets. 3. It's a game and only one person wins.

i would just save 100k of it and donate the rest to charidy. no need to have extra money. i would spend 10k on xbox 360 games, 10k on xbox games, and 30k on portable games. the rest i would save. 17 year old male.
