how much does it cost to remove, and install, flooring from Lowe's?
I'm looking to get a quote to have my current flooring removed (carpet and laminate) and have glazed tiling installed? I'm doing the project myself but would like to know a ballpark idea what to charge so I can beat the Lowe's price. Last I knew it was 4.50/sq.ft to install tile, but I have no idea about the removal.
the 2 rooms will be be tiled so all the flooring needs to come up, including the laminate, so its all level.

I would go with $5.00 per square foot for both the removal and the installation.

For the flooring and installation it would be roughly $8-$12 per square foot. Lowes uses subcontractors for their installations, so they mark their prices up a bit. Your best bet might be to find a local hardwood flooring contractor to do it instead. They will have access to better prices on materials.

What are you trying to add? You don't have to remove laminate if you're adding another laminate flooring. We've had 3 layers on ours.
You can find one cheaper and they're insured & bonded, that does a great job by using Craigslist under SKILLED TRADE or you hire someone you know, BETTER than Lowe's.
