Has India moved on, on the issue of Ayodhya?
I am sure you have seen the 'move on' rhetoric that has been playing in the Indian media for the past few weeks. Whats your take on it?
Should the hindus just forget that Ayodhya is the birth place of Ram? Is that what we are being told?
Because just minutes after the verdict we saw the sunni board telling us about its appeal to the supreme court. So, we know for sure that the muslims have not moved on. Now, I may be generalising here and taking the view of the sunni waqf board as the view of all indian muslims. Which is why I would like to know from some muslims here if they have moved on or not. Also, if they are happy with the verdict as it came out yesterday?
What is non sense? Your non belief in God doesn't have to be forced upon others.
@masseur
Babri masjid wasn't in the best of conditions in 92 either. By your logic, its was okay to tear it down, right?

You can never say India and generalize people. The Hindus have moved on since the verdict was in their favor and the Muslims are moving the Supreme Court since they were out of favor. It must be understood that 13% of population is a minority and the Govt will not do anything dramatic to displease the majority. After all its the vote that matters.

If the issue before the court was only to facilitate the construction of the temple, then this may be one step forward in the direction. But the real issue is with 'We the proud Hindus'. Even if the temple is constructed will it bring peace in the minds of Hindus? I doubt it very much. They are so much at loggerheads with the people of other communities, and particularly against Muslims, that there is no way that India can live in peace for at least 20 more years. Therefore let us not accelerate the pace of resolution of the temple issue and in the process lose the real goals that are actually more important and need resolution.
I am happy with the judgment for one reason that there is no room for any party to celebrate and India has been spared the nightmare of another bloodshed for the time being. But the issue is far from over. The manner in which the BJP and RSS are talking of reconciliation is indication of ominous future for India. They should have instead thought of going in appeal to the Supreme Court for a clearer and outright verdict.
This verdict by the Allahabad High Court is welcome for the time being, because it is opening the doors for the resolution of the issue, and the time that it takes the matter to be resolved by the Supreme Court can make the parties involved to be more pragmatic during the healing process. So we can buy some more time.
The only solution now is for Sunni Waqf Board to approach Supreme Court and hope that a legal resolution to the issue is sought. Let the verdict be clear. Let them lose all, never mind, but let the verdict now be total.
I am a 'Great' Hindu hoping that we live in a real secular India once this issue is resolved, may be after 20 years.
Jai Shri Ram. Allah- o- Akbar.

Needless to say, the reference is to the people who are believed to have demolished a temple to build a mosque as much as it is to those who demolished the Babri Masjid and have never been punished for it. Last week’s judgment gives legal sanction to vandalism as long as it is done in the name of the ‘faith’ of the majority
No matter what it comes but the culprits should be punished for demolishing the mosque in the 1990s , which created the difference .....
The special bench of Lucknow High Court, while pronouncing verdict in Babri Masjid-Ramjanma Bhoomi case on September 30, had also indicted the district judge Faizabad who had allowed the opening of the locks of the mosque in 1986. The court said opening of locks on February 1, 1986 illegal but was prelude to the demolition of mosque on December 6, 1992.
One of the judges in three-member bench Justice SU Khan expressed surprise over the hasty manner in which the district court bypassing well laid legal procedure directed the Faizabad administration to open the locks.
During Rajiv Gandhi regime one Umesh Chandra Pandey had moved an application in Faizabad Court on January 28, 1986 for opening of the locks. The Muslims had then accused the Rajiv Gandhi government of facilitating the opening of locks. The mosque was locked on December 23, 1949 after the idols were placed under the central dome.
Indicting the district court Justice Khan said “it is a sound principle that not only justice must be done but it must also appear to be done. Before passing the judgment dated 1.2.1986 the learned District judge (KM Pandey) first buried the second limb of the principle (appearance of justice) very deep. Probably the learned judge was of the view that he would not be able to pass the order (which obviously, according to him, must have been a just order) in case he bothered about the appearance of justice being done. This obviously shook the faith of the parties affected by the judgment which was the real tragedy”.

I believe the whole people of India is moved on, with the judgement. But some religious group will only say that their argument is right always and they have a one more chance to go in appeal. Let them go and let us have a finality of opinion on this issue by the Supreme Court. On the whole majority of Indian people are happy about the judgement.

India has certainly moved on after the verdict except for die-hard fanatics of the type of "masseur"
who refuse to accept plain and simple logic. In one breath he says that the mosque was built after
"tearing down a dilapidated temple" and in the same breath he condemns the tearing down of a dilapidated mosque which has been in disuse for God knows how many decades/centuries.Such extremists and radicalists will never accept reality or fair play which for them is what they decide.
Have a Great Day.

it was never been a issue BUT the brainwashed people make this A ISSUE(HINDUS/MUSLIMS) non of them doing right..there was a temple or a religious place for every one who were living in india before THE ISLAMIC INVADERS. so when they built a mosque on the place that was belonging to some one else ,from the same moment they become as kafir or cruel beings that was against any religion. so they did in their whole time in INDIA .THIS SHOWS THAT THEIR FOUNDERS WERE BRAINLESS WHO COME AS INVADERS IN india, even some years back the world saw their cruelty in AFGHANISTAN BY DEMOLISHING THE BUDDHISM FROM THE COUNTRY.same thing we indians are doing as choosing the stupid politicians who bring this issue to this level. so IT WAS IN THE HAND OF THE PEOPLE IN AYODHYA TO HAVE THE DECISION AND THEY WERE VERY CLOSE TO HAVE ONE BY SHARING THEIR GOOD THOUGHTS BEFORE THE POLITICIANS ENTER IN THIS CASE FOR THEIR "CHAIR OF POWER" SO even now the decision is not bad at all because the people in ayodhya accept that heartily .but the stupid who do not know what islam is still want to go to the s.court. so what do you think? are the INDIANS.no they are only fake muslims who are doing this. thanks.

human beings want jobs and to be risk-free from terrorist assaults they don't care who gets audited via the IRS. Few human beings have any sympathy for people who get political welfare and tax breaks on an identical time as maximum human beings are taxed to dying in this united states. next twelve months, we could continually all record a 501 C-4 style and declare we are a political employer which prevents the IRS from auditing us. it would be a suitable thank you to laundry money.

The Hindu zealots may be encouraged to do this sort of activities to get 2/3 of the Muslim property. They may be an encouragement to destroy and demolish so many other mosques as they claim- once temples and built mosques during Muslim/Moghal rule. This judgment is split as the Muslim judge says the temple was in a dilapidated state hence they demolished and built a mosque there. Distortion of history.

Not yet, the issue will be moved to Supreme Court soon by two aggrieved parties to the issue.

They are shameless and brutal peole. it has been proved that it is ramjanmasthaan and there was temple before. Still they have been given 1/3rd and they say they want the entire land.
As for moving on, even if we moved on, Lord shri ram will continue to be the symbol of our indian culture, and will remain in devotees' hearts.
