why wasn't my green tea bitter?
i just went to a japanese restaurant for my 18 birthday and order the green tea. their was tea leaves and something thing idk what it is but looked kinda like rice crispys, what was that and where can i get green tea i had there?

You had some Genmai Cha, which is green tea with roasted brown rice.

Nathan answered your second question perfectly, but not the first about the bitterness.
If green tea is brewed properly it normally won't have a very strong bitter taste at all. Bitterness often occurs in green tea when boiling it with too hot of water, which scolds the leaves.
Green tea should be brewed with hot water and not boiling water- approx 170 degrees F. depending on the type of green tea.
