Most grocery stores would have liquid smoke (and I think hickory is the most popular)... maybe even a hardware store that sells grilles will have it

I can't find any molasses that has sulfur in it anymore so I think any grocery store can accomodate you.... just look at the label and usually on the front under the brand it will say "unsulfured".

Molasses is basically a sugar syrup.  You take the liquid of the cane and boil it and reduce it to a syrup... it is not white because the cane is not exactly white.

I get mine at wal-mart for 98 cent a bottle

molasses is a sweetener like honey.
it's used in stuff like ginger bread and stuff. 
it is also mixed with white sugar to make brown sugar.
