Hi, we are planning on a couple of days in France, our first destination is Lourdes, but after that we are not sure where to go. One wants to go to Nice while the other wants to visit Paris. Now which one is more interessting? Or even see something totally different??
Would be very happy about good suggestions.

I would also say Carcassonne and the South West. Carcassonne has two sides to it, new and the old Cite which is a lovely walled medieval city. This has starred in many movies and has a very interesting past. Its full of shops, restaurants and a Hotel. You can get there direct on Ryanair.
Another place id say is a resort in the south-west, either Argels Sur Mer which is 20 mns from the spanish border. From here you can visit a duty free town called Les Perthus.
Gruissan, near Narbonne is a nice little fishing town on the coast. It has great beaches, restaurants and a castle on a hill.
The whole area is also great for wine and fresh fruit.

I've been to both Nice and Paris. It's probably best to plan according to how easy it will be to get to either of them. Personally, I'm not into Paris, but there's a fab city north-east of there called Reims where I've been many times.
Nice is lovely, but very steep and when it's hot it can be a bit much walking round there. It's also super expensive.
The place you HAVE to go one day is Carcassonne - it's an amazing place. If you can get from Lourdes to Carcassone easily, go there.
