im 17 and i get birthday punches, anyone who knows its your birthday socks you in the arm how ever many years old you are, fun except that your arm is completely black and blue by the end of the day. teachers in public school arent allowed to spank anymore. when i was little my dad and uncles would give me birthday bumps, they would pick me up by my ankles and hold me upside down and bump my head on the floor, one bump for each year and then an extra for good luck, they did it gently, it didnt hurt much, i thought it was really fun. they said it was to make me grow taller, so maybe its the same with the spankings. i only got spankings when i was bad.

No not that I know of I mean at home maybe but I have never heard of birthday spankings at a school, especially now, most schools have to have a signed parent release to even paddle as punishment, I can't even imagine a school being permitted to spank for fun, that's an open invitation for perverts to get their hands on children, yuck!

No not spankings. However, birthday beats are now given and they hurt a lot. Basically your friends or people you know will punch you on the arm for how old you are. For example, if you are 19 years old you will get 19 punches on your arm from almost all your friends or people you know.

OMG I'd totally forgotten about those! I remember that at school too. The fact I had totally forgotten because I hadn't heard about it for so long makes me think no it doesn't happen any more. Especially at school it's probably too politically incorrect now days.
