Is it weird to go to a bar by yourself when abroad?

Question

I'm living in Seoul until September. I don't really know anyone here so I kind of want to go out to the bars one night in an effort to meet people. I'm not yet 21, so I've never been able to go a bar in the States, but I'm of age here. I can speak the language enough to get by, but I'm not fluent. I'm also kind of shy.

So, would it be weird to go out to the bars by myself? I'm not really sure what the etiquette is ... do I just go in and sit at the bar by myself and hope someone sits next to me?

Sorry, this is kind of a stupid question I guess, but I'm not sure if I'd be the staple awkward foreigner or if it'd be weird. Anyone have any experiences they can share?

i never really go out alone, especially to a bar or club (unless I'm going there to meet other people). . .

whether you go alone because you want to or don't have people to go with, I heard it's best to go in a group (if you're a foreigner).

You can't meet people to go to the bar to if you don't go there to start with.

no i dont think it strange..
but i personally wouldnt go a bar by myself hehehe
but if i see a guy by himself at a bar i wouldnt think its strange.
just order a drink and just merge lol.
