instead of loosing i am gaining weight?
Ok, i am female, 24, 5feet 2 short and overweight. I am working out, dont eat really a lot (in my opinion) but and have a deskjob, therefore not much moving except when i workout.
What I eat
Breakfast
Poridge (2 Handfull) with water and a bit of milk, 2 toast with butter and jam
Lunch
depends, but most of the times something starchy like potatoes, pasta or rice (one quarter of meal)
with salat or veg (half the meal)
Chicken, eggs, or fish (about one quarter of meal)
Dinner
Rice and curry (one meat curry and at least one veg curry)
Snacks
about 3 choc digetives, carrots, apple
Drink
A little Milk (1/2pint, sometimes oasis extralight, water)
Workout
Daily yoga for 30 to 40 min
elyptical every 2 days for 40 min
I have been doing that for 2 weeks now but have actually gained weight instead of loosing it, what am I doing wrong?

Cut out the processed sugars (digestives with chocolate) and have blueberries instead.
Don't eat potatoes or rice - try brown rice and/or wild rice (I like the two mixed together) or yams (sweet potatoes) instead.
If you have it available, try spelt bread for your toast. Change your jam to honey and no butter.
You may be surprised at how these small changes may make a big difference.

You aren't doing anything wrong. More than likely you have gained some muscle that could explain your weight gain. Just keep it up be patient and the weight will start to slide off. Here's another thing you might try. I always get discouraged when the scale doesn't read what I want it to so do this, go to the store and by a pair of thermometer jeans. Go down two sizes from where you currently are and try them on. Now at first you might not be able to fit in them you may not even be able to get them over your thighs but stick with what you are doing and instead of running to the scale every week try your thermometer jeans on. This works wonders with self confidence. I did this and at first couldn't even get mine over my thighs but now they are up and buttoned but are to snug for me to wear out in public. But this just let's you know that your body is changing and transforming even if the scale say's that you aren't. So go out today and by you some thermometer jeans!

Do away with the following:
Rice, Potatoes, and Pasta. Starchy foods are bad for you when you are trying to lose weight. You might want to do a salad for lunch and add turkey if you wish, but do not use turkey that is honey roasted. The honey is also bad.

If you've been working out a lot then it could be muscle. Does your body feel slimmer and more toned? If so, then you've probably lost fat and gained muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat, so that's why you've gained weight!
