how to decorate my 80's room?

go to a record store and buy some old 80's records. some of the covers have really crazy designs that might match/enhance your room's style. the splatters and stripes are a good call. when i think of the 80's, i think over-the-top. everything was extreme! biggest hair, tightest clothes sometimes, lots of make-up. the music often had an echo-y sound. pink was big. and black. and silver. and teal. i also remember lots of people had "day beds" do you know what those are? they kinda looked like couches. they took all their pillows and instead of leaving them at the top of the bed, they spread them along one long edge of the bed, leaning the pillows against the wall. thats useful if you spend a lot of time in your room. get a funky chair if you have the space. a funky colorful little rug too. lamps are fun too, the crazier, the better. go to value village or something like that, you'll find goofy 80's stuff there for cheap too.
