right turn on red, cameras on intersection?

ok i recently got a ticket for "running a red light" making a right hand turn. now this was a month or so ago so i don't know the exact details. i mean it was me in those pics. but is it not legal to do a right hand turn on a red light? i mean the pics don't show if i came to a complete stop or not they show me on the one street and then they show me just after i turned onto the other street.

basically a couple of questions, if i had waited for the light to be green then wouldn't i be running the other red light onto the street i turn onto?

and do these cameras pick up whether or not i have stopped and then take a pic? or do they take a pic whether or not i have stopped. to me a still photograph doesn't show if i ever came to a complete stop, it shows me on the one street and then turned onto the next street, no pedestrians no traffic that i cut off.

in fact the one pic shows another guy on the far opposite lane doing a left hand turn and he was definitely in the intersection after the red light.

odds are i will just pay the ticket but for future events i would like to know so that it doesn't happen again.

Red light cameras can catch you doing several things:

    1. You are required to stop at the stop line. In the absence of that line, you are supposed to stop prior to a crosswalk or sidewalk and in the absence of those things, prior to entering the intersection. If you did not stop at the proper marker, you can get a ticket.

    2. If you stopped at the line, then pulled forward to get a better view, but stopped again, you are in violation for having stopped beyond the designated stop line even though you stopped before the line once. The law says that if you cannot see well enough to safely make the right turn from the stop line, you should not proceed.

    3. If you did not stop at all, you are in violation.

These are the 3 usual ways you can get cited for a right turn on red by a camera.

nicely, i'm able to inform you concerning to the purple easy cameras we've right here. The digicam takes one photograph yet sends it in 2 varieties: a million) of your vehicle decrease than the purple easy; and b) a p.c. up of your vehicle so which you spot your tag and comprehend it is your vehicle. you will possibly desire to be decrease than the purple easy, no longer yellow. whether, no one takes the prospect because of the fact the yellow easy could be short so as quickly because it is going yellow...they are going to slam on breaks. additionally, it is at a hectic interesection the place on occasion the site visitors into the mall can lower back up. That teaches people who can no longer completely pass the intersection to stay at the back of the "end" line at their easy until they are in a position to get completely in the time of. it is because of the fact in the event that they pass out into the intersection while it is green yet they sit down in the midst of the intersection caught in site visitors and it turns yellow and then purple ... they get a cost tag. Wow...I typed plenty approximately some thing I care little or no approximately. i think of i'm going to pass consume an apple and sit down outdoors for a mutually as.

The ones I'm aware of only take a photo if the car didn't stop. Which makes sense because if they didn't work that way there would be a photo of every car that turns right on red.

Take it to court. I was in a car accident (my fault), I was following to closely and they slammed on their brakes, I slammed on mine and still hit them. I got a ticket for "failing to slow down to avoid an accident". I went into court and told them that I had not failed to slow down I had actually slammed on my brakes and thus could not be told I did not slow down. The ticket was thrown out. And literally that is what I said to them. I got out of it and actually did damage. It's worth a shot. Oh and my trial was 5 min. long. I would go in and explain that there is no sign that says "no turn on red" and that you did stop so you did not "run" the red light.
