Opinions Please- Naming the baby?

since 99.9% of the population would be thrilled to have someone name their baby for them, I think you should respect this person's wishes if they'd feel insulted

this would cause bad blood forever - and that's an extremely long time in family feuds

For me personally, if a family member was that upset about it, I would probably go in another direction just out of respect. If the name means that much to you discuss it further with the family member and find out why they are so against it. I would think they would be honored but there must be more to it than you know.

You don't have to use a family name I am unsure if I am my boyfriend has a jacked popular name that I do not like don't feel obligated. What my aunt and her husband did which I thought was super cool was..

His name is Jerry Lee

My mom's name who is her biggest idol is Grace

So they named they're baby girl Caylee Grace.

They also for their 2 boys gave them the first name of their choice then used the middle name of the father or grandfather.

Elijah Ray (Ray- Mothers father middle name)

Tysin Lee (Lee- Fathers middle name)

You don't have tp use a family name. I am not going to. If you decide you use the name, then use it! Don't worry about what that family member thinks. If they mention something to you because they don't want you to name your baby after them, say "I like the name. That's that." But don't feel obligated to use a family name. It's your baby for heaven's sake. Good luck!
