the x type isn't a great car to begin with. Why do you think Jaguar doesn't make the X anymore? Nobody bought it. If nobody bought it there much be a lot of things wrong with it. Consider why people didn't buy it. the 2001 BMW 7 series is a nice car. It's the car James Bond drove in one of the Bond 007 movies. BMW, Mercedes, Audi and Lexus are known as showoff cars so yes you can show off in it, though not everyone is impressed by cars.

Sorry, if you want a reliable vehicle, you have two terrible options on the table.

BMW 7-series, although sharp and technologically flashy, are always plagued with electrical gremlins and mechanical issues later in life. And Jaguars are a notch worse. For a first car, I wouldn't touch either. You'll be sinking so much money into them, your weekends will be filled with the question, "what can I do for free since I'm broke?"

You can show off in both, but let me give you a quick dose of reality: Nobody cares nor will they remember. You'll be a teenager in a perceived expensive car. Dime a dozen.

don't get the 7 series. it's an enormous car, and probably won't be reliable.

i know jags have a reputation for being unreliable, but the particular engine in the x type (3.0 liter ford duratec v6) i have experience with in my mazda 6. it's never given me any problems, and it sounds absolutely fantastic.

the x-type is just a ford mondeo underneath, and while a lot of people use this as a criticism, the mondeo actually has one of the best set-up front wheel drive chassis's in the world. so they used a good starting point for the car.

if these were my only choices, i'd get the x-type in british racing green.

but if i had other choices, i think i'd go for a mazda rx8 or even a mazda 6, which is what i own now.

under no circumstances a bmw.... my chum offered e34 for approximately £10k, he cared for it greater advantageous than for himself (actually) and in few months unexpectedly the engine stored loss of life for approximately 20 circumstances earlier it actual began. So i wouldnt quite believe those new bmw's.... previous ones was once good, the final autos have been made in 1890s. Now all of them in simple terms seem notably much an identical. i might decide for audi or ford. My opinion good luck

A BMW for a first car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No Way, even though it's an 01, get a Mazda 3 or Infiniti G-35.

dont get either of these. the cost to repair will be retarded. and they are not good gas mpg... unless money isnt an issue... but if it isnt, then get something better.
