What if Everyone in the world came to realization that religion was all a lie?

the world would be in anarchy. think about it, most of the morals people have somewhere down the line where taught through some kind of religion. if everyone thought that every moral thing they were taught was wrong, they would start to do what every they wanted, not obeying any laws or anything.

I think that there would be a lot of suicides from lesser people, or people without a strong will; People would just wonder at the point of living to die, others would see no point in suffering.

I think it just depends on the individual strength of a person and how much they are able to think for themselves.

When I became Atheist it was just like boom for me. At first it hit me hard, but then it was like, I might as well enjoy my life. Not take it too seriously. I don't get mad or fight because there is not point in doing that. My mother always asks me how can I be content with just living with no kind of hope. I just tell her that I just have to accept reality and just not existing after death is not as bad as it sounds.

I think the world would become a horrible place. Although i'm atheist, i respect religious values, i think it is great that some people have strong morals, and i think they have beneficiary results on all of society.

I don't believe in an afterlife, but many feel like they have to be the best they can so they enter "heaven", these people are responsible for many good deeds in society. and if no one followed a religion, many of these good people wouldn't be so good.

I think we need religion, i wish i could get myself to believe, but i just can't.

Religion helps control individuals actions. It is useful to have hanging over "society's head" an everlasting reward where you get everything you ever desired or a punishment where your worst nightmares last for all eternity, to help push agenda's through time because most deities can neither be proved or disproved, and lack of faith is automatic punishment, those who control religion control the masses.

It wouldn't change it much. I'm already an atheist. But people will never realize that because they can't accept death as the end, even though there is no scientific proof that says that we go on in any way after we die. =P

because of the fact He hasn't come to His kingdom. the 1st time He got here to a bypass, the subsequent time he will come to a crown. joseph's brothers did no longer understand he exchange into pharoah's top hand guy, no longer till the tip. the reason prophecy hasn't been fulfilled is with the aid of the fact Jesus mentioned do no longer weep for me, yet for yourselves, it fairly is your hour, mine hasn't come yet.

Then we would have what we have already discovered with Climategate! Climategate has shown that the climate warming religion are a bunch of extremist zealots that will lie to meet their own ends. Hooray!

It wouldn't change my life at all. I would just feel better that my little brothers weren't going to see any of the messed up **** religion causes.

The world would be MUCH better off.

Imagine a world without religion. No homophobia, no racism, no sexism. Discrimination stems from religion.

Religion isn't a lie! But if everyone thought that it was then the whole world would be a mess because there would be violence every where and no one would care what they did!
