2006 Pontiac Montana..HELP?

2006 Montana, with duel power sliding doors. The driver's side slider is messed up. It won't close with the buttons, either the over head drivers button, nor the one on the door frame. It will open, but won't close at all. Even when I flip the over head switch, to manually close it, half the time it rips the door from my hand and opens it again. If I do manage to get it to close and stay closed, it won't stop DINGING!!!!! I'm inside right now, with the keys in hand, and it's still out there dinging. The interior lights won't turn off in the back, either. There's nothing showing up on my dash display saying that the door is open. The only time it stops, for a second, is if I push the power button to open it, but as soon as it's open (and then takes an act of God to close) it starts Dinging again.

HELP!!!!

Update:

Okay, after 30 minutes sitting out there dinging, pushed the button to open it, then tried the button to close it. It looks like it keeps trying to open it further, then the dinging starts. I manually closed it, it re-opened and started dinging. Manually closed it again, and it popped open open just a smidge, and started dinging. I physically pushed on the back end of the door....it closed, stayed closed, and stopped dinging.....? What the heck? I have a 2 y/o who sits there, this will be fun to strap him in his car seat!

These are tricky. First, the gas door is on that side. If it is not completely shut,it will cause problems.Keep in mind that it may be shut but the mechanism on the inside of the body of the van could be giving you trouble if everything else I have to tell you doesn't work.

Look at all the brass looking pads on the doorway and make sure they're clean. Also look at the mating spring loaded buttons mounted in the door.Look closely at them for any corrosion around the plastic part where corrosion may be inside the door and when they are popped out some corrosion comes with it(meaning that connector assembly is bad) If all looks ok,the doors will need to be reset.

This is tough to follow but here goes. Open the hood, take the cover off the fuse box and find fuse #29. Ignition key should be in the off position. In the roof console, turn off the power sliding door switch. Remove fuse #29,leave it out for 30 seconds. Reinstall the fuse and wait 10 seconds. Turn on the power sliding door switch. Press the door open button either in the roof or B pillar. Open the door fully manually, wait 5 seconds, then press the power door button, wait 5 seconds and repeat opening the door, wait 5 seconds, and close the door with the power button. I am a GM tech and own a 02 Chevy Venture Van and if you have your owners manual, you will find these instructions in section 2. Good Luck! Sorry, when you do this, you'll have to reset the other door too.
