Wouldn't Q. 10:94 be a huge fault with the Quran if the Bible was corrupt?
Q.10: 94. If thou wert in doubt as to what We have revealed unto thee, then ask those who have been reading the Book from before thee: the Truth hath indeed come to thee from thy Lord: so be in no wise of those in doubt.
If Muhammad had doubts about this revelation he was receiving (The Quran) He should ask those who read the previous scriptures (The Bible)
Much of the Quran says the Quran is a continuance of the gospel and that it verifies that which came before it.
Sura 2:87 - And most certainly We gave Musa the Book and We sent apostles after him one after another; and We gave Isa, the son of Marium, clear arguments and strengthened him with the holy spirit,
Q 46:12. And before this, was the Book of Moses as a guide and a mercy: And this Book confirms (it) in the Arabic tongue; to admonish the unjust, and as Glad Tidings to those who do right.
Q. 6 :115. The word of thy Lord doth find its fulfilment in truth and in justice: None can change His words: for He is the one who heareth and knoweth all.
The Quran says it confims the previous scriptures Allah loves the truth so none can change his words. The Quran claims to confim these previous scriptures and claims to be a continuance of them. Muhammad is intructed to test this revelation with the previous scriptures.
Why doesn't all knowing Allah not know his previous scriptures are not in agreement with the Quran?
bloggers, both Torah and Injeel are called corrupt by Islam are they not?
If not do you believe Jesus the Son of God who atoned for sin?
Djinn, Exactly! Muslims are required to agree with Torah and Gospel while both disagree with the Quran making the Quran even according to the Quran a false prophet.
Pedram. I love your answer...How is Allah directing Muhamamd to make a comparison between the Quran and people who read the previous scriptures if their book is not the previous scriputres?
Are you saying Allah spoke of the book of Moses that no longer existed and instructed Muhamamd to speak with those who read a book that does not exist????
Or are you saying 10:94 is wrong among all of these ayats that cliam the Quran is in agreement with the previous scriptures
So please read 10:94 again and explain to me how Muhammad is going to confirm the revelation he is receiving with the corrupt scriptures that were already changed?
Pedram and Hassan neither of you believe the Quran? There is no original word used here. The book that the Jews Have at this time is referred to throughout the Quran as the Torah and the book of the Christians the Injeel which is the Gospel. SO if you are saying these books were wrong than Allah is wrong and your Quran is wrong.
Do you guys not read the Quran..I have quoted it here for you..show me where this is saying that these books are changed and if they are changed than Allah is dishonest telling Muhamamd to compare them and saying his word can not be changed.. Why don't you believe your own Allah? Is it because you know he is wrong that these scriptures do not agree with the word of God as he claims?
Allah believes the previous sciptures will convince Muhammad that his revelations are correct even though these scriptures disagree with the revelation he was receiving?
This should relieve poor Muhamamd of his doubts if he see the previous word of God disagrees with what this spirit is teaching? Is this really your take on 10:94?
Is this how Allah confirms his word?
With corrupt scriputres? This is how Allah confirms a prophet...by having a prophet that disagrees with his word?
Are you guys sane?
Creativity, I am so glad you brought this Isaiah 29 verse up. I completely agree with you that the Quran claims this verse as a prophesy of the coming Muhammad. They always deny this when I help them to interpret the verse in Isaiah. This verse speaks of a prophet that is blinded by God. Would you believe that Muhammad was blinded by God?
Ghostdude, God is indeed one. In the Torah and in the Gospel...Are you insinuating this is the only revelaltion Muhamamd received? The Quran only has one messege that God is one?
Is it okay if Muhamamd has doubts about the rest of the Quran? If so there is no need for Muhammad or his Quran.
We can believe Jesus atoned for sin and the Quran is wrong.
This ayat says that he can confirm his doubts about ALL of the revelaltion he was receiving..btw if the previous scriptures were corrupt then none of this can relieve Muhammad's doubts because this "God is one" claim could also be corrupt.
If 10:94 is true the previous scriptures agree with the revelation Muhamamd was receiving...You and I both know they do not so Q 10:94 is wrong. or the Bible can nto be corrupt..which also makes the Quran wrong because it is not in agreement with the word of God.
My friend Gnostic, Many Muslims falsely believe the Quran teaches that the previous scriptures were corrupt. I have studied this very indepth. There is no such claim in ALL of the Quran.
Muslims will use ayats that speak of a man writng his own book or ayats that teach people who do not read the book correctly neither of these are calling the Torah or Gospel corrupt.
Creativity, Are these verses in Isaiah referring to your prophet?
Isaiah 29
10 For the Lord hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.
11 And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:
12 And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.
Do you believe that God made Muhamamd unlearned so he could not give God's prophesy nor understand the word of God?
The Bible does not nor would anyone with a brain see a book prophesying the coming prophet who would disagree with the word of God and intruct you to follow this prophet,. Contray the Bible is very clear even if a man do miracles and teach against the word of God...Do not follow such a man.
The verse that you speak of are referring to the coming Messiah and the Holy Spirit that are God.
The spirit of truth refers to a spirit not a man and an eternal spirit that dwell in us.
Muhammad can not be the comforter as he is dead and not a spirit nor is he God nor eternal.
The Holy Spirit is God and is the spirit of Jesus Christ and Jesus makes this clear when he says "I will come to you."
Now surely you are nto arguing Muhammad is the spirit of truth? Surely you don't believe Muhammad is God?
You surely don't believe Muhammad is more than a messenger of God and he is not eternal and he is not God but surely you know he is dead.
Deedat, None of your Quranic quotes say the Torah or Gospel are changed.
You wont find one such quote in ALL of the Quran that calls them guidence and light and tells us to follow them and states clearly the word can not be changed. Muhamamd is instructed in 10:94 to compare the revelation he is receiving with these scriptures..How would that work if you could not trust the previous scriptures?
I have quoted for you the words of your Allah that confirm the previous scriptures the ones he claims are the scriptures of the Jews and Christians.
These are called guidence and light and we are instructed to follow them. Allah says his word can nto be changed because he loves the truth.. So you don't believe him?
Allah does not love the truth and his previous scriptures were changed?
Show me where your Allah says this?
If you are correct then not only is 10:94 a bad instruction to Muhammad but also 6:115 is a lie!!
(((Sternchen))) Many Muslims disagree with the Quran. I have often wondered about these ayats you quote that say Jesus confirmed the Torah. So the Torah could not have been corrupt at the time of Jesus...Many Muslim claim Jesus came because the Torah was corrupt ..this is the reason thay claim for all the prophets to correct the previous scriptures. If God kept his word to the time of Jesus...Why are they corrupt at the time of Muhammad? In 600 years the entire word of God became corrupt after being correct for thousands of years? Interesting at the time Allah claims he tricked people to believe in the crucifixion all of his scriptures became corrupt...interesting he left everyone to believe his own deceit for 600 years and then sent a prophet that can not be confirmed by his word! Now they have a prophet thay have no way of knowing is a prophet and a book that God does not confirm.!!!!
Strong, If the Quran is not the word of God..what difference does it make what Allah said? Allah of the Quran deceived people to believe in the crucifixion of Christ, Allah admits he misleads people...If your Allah misleads how do you know you are not mislead?
If your god does not love the truth then what he said could all be a lie! This is my point Strong if Allah does not keep his word and he says he misleads people ...then anything written in the Quran is suspect. No point at all to worshiping Allah. Even you say he can't be trusted.
Strong, The Quran teaches that I must reject the Son of God and the atonement of Jesus Christ. The Quran depends on the whims of a unrighteous god overlooking sin if you do deeds that he thinks are good...meaning your Allah can be joined to sinners and that your heaven is full of sinners...hardly a paradise.
Pedram, Your not thinking very logically.
Let's suppose part of the Bible was wrong when Muhammad was receiving his revelation and Allah said to ease his mind he should seek those who read these corrupt scriptures....How is Muhamamd going to decide this revelation he was receiving was correct when it disagreed with the previous scriptures..Muhamamd would not have known what was corrupt from the previous scriptures would he? Unless he chose to believe the Quran first..which is not what Allah is telling him..Allah is saying these previous scriptures will prevent him from doubting the revelation he was receiving...Unless Allah's thinking is as faulty as yours corrupt scriptures are not going to ease anyones mind about anything, if they are corrupt they can't be trusted.
Strong, You are correct I have asked this question a thousand times and a thousand different ways..why does this question never get answered? The Quran claims to be a continuance of the previous scriptures verifying the previous scriptures clearly saying the word of God can't be changed...and Muslims claim they follow a god that did nto care about his word...If God did not care about his word, we would have nothing but an untrustworthy god.
Is there another answer? If Allah can't or wont keep his word then Allah is unrighteous expecting us to trust his word which he has proved already he can't be trusted.
There is indeed another answer. It is that some people would trust a dead man rather than seek the truth from the living God.
Cool, I have one Bible first written 1500 years before Christ. You have your Quran that claims Jesus confirmed the Torah..and claims it also confirms the previous scriptures..So when you say the Bible is corrupt you also say your Allah is wrong.

Yes! I love this question, lol.
I wonder if bloggersville knows what is contained in the Torah and Gospels? If he does, and if the Quran says they are correct, then he cannot be a Muslim.
In the Torah, Genesis, it says that Abraham was going to sacrifice his only child...Isaac. Even though Ishmael was first born, God referred to Isaac as the only child since he was the legitimate one. Why did Muhammad change the child and go against God?
In the Gospels of Jesus, it is made abundantly clear that Jesus is the Son of God, was crucified and resurrected. The Gospels say to pray to Our Father. It is the Good News for all. But the Quran then denies all these things. Why?
Such blatant contradictions prove the Quran cannot be from God, let alone the literal word of God and a miracle.

The onus is on Islam to exhibit wherein the bible is in mistakes, the implication is that it's in mistakes if it does not consider the Qur'an, that is imbecileic common sense. It is as much as the secondary to turn out the common fake as opposed to signifies that the common does not aid the secondary written 1000's of years later. What of modern day day prophets? Jesus mentioned there will likely be fake prophets, He didn't say there there will likely be not more prophets as a few Christians think, nor did He say simply an additional. The commonplace is checking out the prophet in opposition to the common writings, if there may be concord & they consider the bible & its predominant notion constitution of salvation through grace via religion. The Qur'an is a completely unique salvation constitution to that of the Bible which means yet another god.

Hi djmantx!
“And in their prophets footsteps we sent Jesus the Son of Mary confirming the Torah that had come before him: we sent him with the Gospel; therein was the guidance and the light. And the confirmation of the Torah that had come before him; a guidance and a admonition to those who fear Allah” Surah 5:46.
God sent Jesus to confirm the Torah (The first five books of the Bible's Old Testament), then the Torah of Jesus' time are what the people read and Jesus quoted from. Jesus confirms that it was the same Torah God gave to Moses. In fact, it is proven that it is the same one we have today.
How can a Muslim really know the Bible is corrupted, what do they have to compare it to?
- Anonymvor 1 Jahrzehnt
My friend, the Quran is a puzzle. One time it glorifies the Bible, at other times it condemns it as being contaminated. No one knows what to believe in the Quran.
The truth is, in the beginning of Mohammad's ministries, he praised Christians and Jews and their Holy Book because his aim was to convert them all to the new Islam; when he failed, he went into a rage and condemned them as infidels.
While Muslims think that that the Bible was changed from the original, religious scholars have discovered very minute changes.

Hindu religious scriptures says: God is One
Sikh religious scriptures says: God is One
Bible = 3 in 1
All the religious scriptures are pointing out toward One & Oneness Of God
And there is Only One God.
Now, if you want to stick to your version, i cant force you. What i believe is, one must use his head and look for the best choice.
Now, today i will give you the answer to the question i always asked you.
One the day of judgment, face of every believer shall be glowing with The Holy Light (Noor), that's how we shall be made distinguished from disbelievers.
That's how God & His Prophet gonna recognize me & every believer from our glowing faces.
This is what Quran says.
66:8 On that day, GOD will not disappoint the prophet and those who believed with him. Their light will radiate in front of them and to their right. They will say, "Our Lord, perfect our light for us, and forgive us; You are Omnipotent."
Now, what clues Bible offers to you? None
Bible has made you to run after a truck's red tail light. (a useless effort)
Just wake up and acknowledge the truth. :)
Quran confirms salvations even to those:
2:62 Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in God and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.
If you want to remain a Christian, good enuf, quran offers a solution in above mentioned verse, minimum requirement for redemption is Belief in One God, Belief in Day of judgment and do the righteous deeds. :)
Edit: djmantx, the same question you have asked a thousand times in the past. Right.?
Please do NOT lower down yourself to the level of a troll. !!

The prophecy of coming of the unlettered Prophet (pbuh) is also mentioned in the Bible in the book of Isaiah chapter 29 verse 12.
"And the book is delivered to him that is not learned."
[Isaiah 29:12]
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) prophesised in the Bible in several places.
Deuteronomy 18:18
Isaiah 29:12
Song of Solomon 5:16
John 16:7
John 16:12-14

BIble has been altered a lot until now...
there are conflicts among the versions of bible's itself !... (one of them must be true)
As Quran said: "Verily! Those who believe and those who are Jews and Christians, and Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and do righteous good deeds shall have their reward with their Lord, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve" [2:62]
Those who follow Bible, are doing fine... its just that they don't believe in "1 God", they have a Son of God (too) ?... [even Bible never said that directly]..
There is nothing wrong with the Quran or the "original Bible"...
the problem is to search for the "original Bible" now !
- ghostdude!Lv 4vor 1 Jahrzehnt
oldest scriptures: God is One
Old testament - pentateuch: God is One
Old testament - writings of the hebrews: God is One
Jews believed: God is One
New Testament: God is One (well its a mix of 1s and 3s)
Gospel according to st John: God is three
Quran: God is One
Read the Quotes above and you see that the Quran confirms that which came before -and you throw in your disagreements with God- its your own loss

dude you have 2400 bible every one of them dont match with the other

when Allah SWT talks about the privous books, its talking about the original ones, and infact in the Holy Verse which you have quoted yourself we can see this "And most certainly We gave Musa the Book.."
so it's talking about the Holy Book which was given to Prophet Moses (PBUH), not the book which was modified by people later on, and same thing applies to the "Enjil" (book of Prophet Jesus [PBUH])
EDIT:
"So please read 10:94 again and explain to me how Muhammad is going to confirm the revelation he is receiving with the corrupt scriptures that were already changed?"
you see, although Bible has been edited and changed, there are still some parts in it which indeed does confirm Islam and the Holy Quran.......
for example praying in prostration in Genesis 17:17 and Revelation 11:16 and 7:11 and Mathew 26:39 and Psalm 95:6 as well as 2 Chronicles 20:18
or even fasting as mentioned in Mathew 4:2
or giving alms as mentioned in Luke 11:41
or even hajj as in Psalm 84:5-6
or even the way of greeting eachother as mentioned in Luke 24:36 and John 20:21
or even how we say things happen by the will of God (InshaAllah) as mentioned in James 4:15
also hijab as mentioned in Genesis 24:65
would you like me to go on?!
Quelle(n): truth speaks for itself...........
