Muslims, Why is it the God of Abraham before Muhammad did not weigh sin?

Weighing sin as if any sin was okay is against the teachings of the God of Abraham in the Torah and Gospel, No previous scriptures teach that God weighed sin. All sin was bad and any sin was too much sin. To weigh sin is to agree with the serpent in the garden and depends on God not being perfect and is in agreement with the first lie in the Torah.

In the Torah God warned Adam that disobedience equaled death. The serpent lied and said "You will not surely die" Why is the Allah of Islam in agreement with the serpent in the garden?

God willl not be joined to sin and Allah allows sinners into heaven.

How is Allah the righteous God of Abraham if he can accept some sin?

Update:

Deedat, thanks at least you admit you understand the question. It isn't a difficult question so I doubt the others are baffled by it.

If you didn't notice the text are extremely different. With Allah forgiving Adam without any penalty of his sin.

Yes Sir. Murder is a sin and so is Is theft. Would you think only murder a sin?

And in Islam can't murder also be forgiven? Of course it can Allah does overlook sin...He weighs good deeds and bad..So if a man does enough good his bad is overlooked. Sorry Deedat but according to my God your Allah is not righteous but in agreement with Satan who is the serpent in the garden.

David said God covered sin not overlooked or weighed sin. Sin is covered by the atonement.

The price of sin must be paid and is paid by God. God does not pretend you ahve not sinned because you think your good covers your bad. God is always righteous throughout his word. The Quran is not in agreement with the teachings of God.

Update 2:

Diamant, There is such a thing as forgivness and there is such a thing a unrighteousness. If man sins and Allah forgives without the price of sin being paid than Allah is agreeing with sin, overlooking sin and has joined the sinner in his unrighteous act.

The God of Abraham that is before your Muhammad..did not do this. God does not overlook sin. God is not joined ot sin and NO sinners will be in heaven.

If this teaching of the Quran is correct everyone in heaven will be sinners.

God did not change themn but weighed their deeds..meaning their sin is still with them but ignored by Allah., The God that Spoke to Moses had a plan of salvation not to overlook sin but to bring sinful man to his righteousness...not to join man in man's unrighteousness.

Update 3:

Diamant.. You are wrong in Christianity you will not be forbidden heaven based on your Fathers lack of faith in God.

This is not at all a Christian teaching.

There is only one way to heaven and it is through being made perfect and there is only one way to be made new and it is through the atonement God provides you through Jesus Christ.

Update 4:

Guru, I was never a good atheist and am not good now but am being made new through the atonement of Jesus Christ who is the only perfect righteous man even according to your Quran.

Guru, if there were no atonement there can be no righteous God.

Your Allah created sinners and overlooks their sin..Sorry my friend I will never serve or follow the teachings of the seprent. If there were no god but Allah I would have still called myself atheist.

Update 5:

Sincer-Advisor, The Serpent who is Satan was not right..had you not believed him you would surely have received revelation from God to know the truth.

You see my friend God is indeed greater than a man and as such is greater than a man's understanding.

Adam and Eve were deceived by Satan.

This same lie was given to Muhammad by a spirit he did not know.

Had he or had you trusted God you would have recived the truth.

Adam trusted a spirit that disagreed with God and this led to Adam's literal physical death.

Adam lived physically 930 years.

So you would say the seprent was right.

And I would trust God to reveal to me his truth rather than trust the spirit that disagreed with God.

God is righteous and man has sinned.

God created man and it is God who sustains our life.

Death can be more than simply physical.

When man sinned he separated himself from righteous God and this separation form God is death.

The day Adam disobeyed God he did indeed die.

This is the reason..

Update 6:

There were two trees in the midst of the garden.

The second tree is the tree of life.

God is all knowing and foreknew man would sin and had a plan of salvation for him.

This is the reason the Son became flesh to overcome temptation, sin and death as a man under the law.

It is through his righteousness and his atonement and his resurrection that you now can be made new. It is through accepting the aotnement of Jesus Christ you can be born again...born of the spirit, born of God.

It is through this atonement you will recieve the Holy Spirit to guide you in truth that is greater than a man.

Truth that is greater than sinful finite flesh and blood.

Update 7:

Fajr, what seems right to a man ends in death.

You interpretation is faulty. If God overlooks or weighs sin he is literally agreeing with sin and your god is unrighteous. God is not sayig one sin is not worse he is saying ALL sin is wrong.

ALL sin is seperation from God because God is righteous and is not in agreement with ANY sin.

If yoru god agrees with ANY sin then your god is not the righteous God fo Abraham but is in agreement with the seprent int he garden which the Bible refers to as Satan.

It is indeed Satan's lie that God will overlook your sin or that you can sin and still be good..It is Satan that atttempts to mix truth with lies and the two can not be mixed. You can not sin and still be good. There will be NO sinners joined to God. God is not tolerant of ANY sin. God does indeed love us even though we have sinned and God does have a plan for us sinners but that is not to overlook our sin but to bring us to his righteousness.

Satan lied in the garden and he is

Update 8:

still tellign the same lie today. God is indeed righteous and God does indeed love us..God does not however overlook our sin but is bringing us to his righteousness through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Update 9:

Binte, The God of Abraham from the scripture before the Quran is totally righteous and does not weigh sin.

In the Quran Allah is not like the God that was before the Quran and does weigh sin..Allah weighs your good deeds and bad deeds and if you have more good than bad..your good.

God does not if you have sin then you are a sinner..You are not good.

No sinners are joined to God and none go to heaven.

Update 10:

(Rocky) Some sins have a greater value for example if you do charity help people and then commit rape then all the good deeds goes in vain.

(djmantx) Thanks Rocky for you answer and your questions.

If you were correct about sins having values, (which according to your god you are)...

Then God is having to give a degree to sin...which means God would be agreeing with a degree of sin..which means your god is not the righteous God of Abraham.

For God to be perfect and righteous he can not agree with ANY sin.

Otherwise what you have is a god that is somewhat bad, and knowing the truth, there is no such thing as somewhat bad..there is absolute righteous (God) and everyone else who have sinned.

Update 11:

(Rocky) Every sin is equal to allah and prophet.

(djmantx) Rocky this is not true of Islam All sins are not equal and a man can sin and still go to heaven simply because Allah forgives him his sin because the man did something Allah weighed out as better than the bad sin he did.

I would wish EVERY Muslim would consider this. A righteous perfect God can not weigh sin. Sin is bad to God...There is no sin that is good or not so bad, God is not a kind of God...there are no kind ofs with God..God is not kind of good. Man is not kind of good...either you are good or you are not. Satan would have man believe that even though he has done bad he can still be good...that is the lie of Satan. Only God is good.

Man is not good. ALL men sin. God does not pretend you are good when you sin.

You can not undo ANY sin by doing more good.

Update 12:

Rocky) Lets see the simple error in bible. Everywhere in the bible: god loves everyone. Jesus died for our SINS.everyone are sinners. If a christian hates someone then he/she is not a christian anymore because god's message is to love.

And if god loves everyone then why do he made hell. If prophet jesus died for our sins then it mean we can steal, murder. More than 70% christians are infidels because they hate a person or a thing either.HOW EVERYONE OF US ARE SINNERS IF JESUS DIED FOR OUR SINS

(djmantx) Thanks again Rocky, Yes indeed God loves everyone. It is the reson the SOn became flesh Lord Jesus Christ.

Now let's understand that A Christian should not hate anyone. Do Christians still make mistakes..Yes. When a man accepts the aotnement of Jesus Christ he is by faith made new.

The Bible says "Born again" Now the reason it is by faith is because Rocky we are still alive literally..we are by faith dead and born again and will literally be made new when we are resurrected

Update 13:

as Christ was resurrected, What we have today we have by faith.

So Christians are not yet perfect and indeed do still make mistakes and this does not mean they are not saved. It means we are not the finsihed product which is through Jesus Christ.

Now my friend some people make a claim to be born again and are never changed.

We should by faith in Jesus Christ become more like Christ. Some do not.

Accepting the atonement does not mean a man is now free to sin but is free from sin.

We should not serve sin. All of us are still flesh and in the sinful world so we are not yet perfect but we should not serve sin and those who choose to serve sin need to consider their own salvation.

So you are correct God loves everyone and Jesus died for our sin and we should through faith is Jesus become new creatures and also love one another..these are the teachings of Jesus Christ.. God Bless You my friend and thatnks for your answer.

Update 14:

(((Sternchen))) Amen Sis, When Allah overlooks sin he has in affect agreed with the act and joined his creation in unrighteousness. Why would righteous God decide to agree with Satan who lied in the garden? Why would this be a corruption in the Bible that God is righteous? It should be obvious that the spirit that spoke to Muhammad disagreed with God and agreed with the serpent in the garden making the spirit that spoke to Allah a demon even according to their own Quran.

Q. 10:94. The spirit that spoke to Muhammad instructs Muhammad if he has doubts about this revelation (the Quran to compare it with the previous scriptures.

Update 15:

Rocky, You say there is no Abrahamic God and accuse me of not reading the Quran. Please read the Quran and see that your Allah claims to be the God of Abraham. I agree with you that he is not.

Update 16:

Sincere-Advsor, There is no such history of people believing that Adam physically died the day he ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. It has been Jewish Torah for 3500 years.

I have yet to see Jews or Christians saying God is a liar. I try hard to steer clear of spiritual revelation with Muslims. Muslims insist Jesus can not be God because God is greater than a man THEN reject any truth that does not fit into their physical understanding.

It is written in the word of God that for this reason Adam sinned... he trusted a serpent that disagreed with God as you refuse any truth greater than sinful, flesh and blood.

Man was beguiled by the serpent with the same lie that still exists today . "You will not surely die". I assure you without the atonement of Jesus Christ we are all dead in our sin.

Rather than dismiss the word of God for the words of a man, you would be wise to seek a greater truth than your sinful flesh and blood can see or hear because indeed God is greater

Update 17:

than a man and is greater than what you can see and hear with flesh and blood and is an eternal spirit and his truth is revealed through the spirit.

It is the reason Jesus said "You must be born again. It is the reason Jesus said "Unless a man be born again he can not see the kingdom of heaven."

The Bible describes God as being holy and righteous. His standard of holiness is so great that all sin must be dealt with properly. The Law, which is a reflection of God's holy character and nature, is not to be violated without consequence. The consequence of all sin is death.

We are under the penalty of eternal death, it is the sacrifice of Jesus that pays the penalty, and enables us to be reconciled to God.

In Islam, a Muslim who commits murder and thievery can ask Allah for forgiveness and receive that forgiveness without Allah exercising any punishment whatsoever.

According to Islam, Allah may forgive that person -- if he so chooses. That means the righteous judgment is not satisfied. The sin has essentially been ignored by forgiving it and that the Law of God, though broken, has resulted in no punishment. Is this just, not to exercise punishment for the sins committed?

    Few Points:

    1. We do not have a book from Abraham, so we don't know what his teachings were.

    2. We do not believe that the Torah is 100% accurate, so using that as the criterion to judge Islam is ridiculous. [That's a common mistake that Christians make with regard to islam].

    3. How can a Christian God be so cruel and unreasonable that He won't even forgive a single sin, without a blood sacrifice, when we humans forgive others for all kinds of things? Are we more kind and sensible than God Almighty?

    4. If you think about it, the Serpent was right! Adam did not die in Heaven. He was sent to Earth where he lived a long life and then he died. But if you believe in eternal life then Adam is now 'alive' in the presence of God and did not completely die.

EDIT: Sorry but your response is nonsensical, all wrapped up in pseudo spirituality. What you are suggesting is a typical Christian cop out---trying to find hidden meaning when faced with an obvious contradiction! You stated that "Death can be more than simply physical." But no where in the Bible does it say that the death would not be physical. The verse is very clear and throughout Christian history people have taken it literally. You are claiming some special knowledge just because you don't have a good answer.

This is a nice question . You're saying that "All sins are bad and ANY sin was too much sin " , Well I would definitely disagree with this statement . You're making all the sins equal so we're expecting that God will give the same punishment for the small sin as well as the gross one which is unfair .

Allah doesn't accept some sins but He forgives them .

Weighing deeds ( good & bad ) is about being very fair . It's like giving you marks in an exam . You wouldn't like the teacher to give you zero just because you did some mistakes while you answered some questions correctly .

Some sins have a greater value for example if you do charity help people and then commit rape then all the good deeds goes in vain. Every sin is equal to allah and prophet. In time of prophet abraham people were not educated thats why islam came after thousands of years. Lets see the simple error in bible.

THERE IS NO ABRAHAM GOD THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD ALLAH AND ALLAH JUDGES EQUALL TO ALL. ALLAH GIVES EVERYONE CHANCES BY CHANCES TO COME TO THE RIGHT PATH.

    IMPORTANT

YOU HAVE NOT STUDIED THE QURAAN THATS THE EXACT REASON WHY YOU DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT ALLAH. AND PLS DON'T TELL ME 'I HAVE STUDIED QURAAN FOR OVER 6 YEARS' IT IS CLEARLY MENTIONED IN THE QURAAN 'ALLAH IS MOST RIGHTEOUS MOST MERCIFULL ALL KNOWING AND RIGHT JUDGING' EVEN THOUGH YOU REJECT THIS BECAUSE DON'T WANNA HEAR ANYTHING ABOUT QURAAN, ALLAH AND ISLAM.AT THE TIME OF JUDGEMENT DAY EVERYONE IS ASK.EVEN A NON MUSLIM CAN. For example if a muslim have hurt you then at the day of judgment you can ask allah for justice and ALLAH WILL DO THE FAIR JUDGEMENT. So is this unjustice. EVERYONE IS JUDGED BY THEIR AMAL, AND NOW I ASK YOU WHAT IS AMAL, LOL I KNOW YOU DON'T HAVE ANY ANSWER BECAUSE YOU HAVE JUST GONE THROUGH A ANTI ISLAMIC SITE YOU HAVE NEVER STUDIED QURAAN WITH YOUR BRAIN AND HEART. LOOK I HAVE SHOWED YOU EVERYTHING YOU WANTED BUT I KNOW NOW ALSO YOU WILL DENY THIS BECAUSE YOU ARE A HYPOCRITE AND NOT A CHRISTIAN ANYMORE. Because you hate allah. Hate does not mean like 'i hate this or that' hate means i don't like anything about that' which you do to allah. A muslim got to pay for every sin he commits either on the earth or in the eternal life. OH SO YOU MEAN ALLAH DOES NOT JUDGE FAIR AND THE GOD OF ABRAHAM JUDGES FAIRLY. OK THEN WHY DO WE NEED TO BE A CHRISTIAN TO GO TO HEAVEN. JUST BECAUSE GOD SENT HIS SON TO DIE FOR SINS THEN WHAT ABOUT ALLAH, ALLAH SENT LOTS OF PROPHETS. Oh i know you will ramble now coz you don't have any answer. IF YOUR GOD JUDGES EQUAL THEN WHY DO WE NEED to WORSHIP AS WE BELEIVE. WHY DOES YOUR GOD REJECT HIS OWN WORDS. . DO NOT WORRY I SUGGEST YOU TO LEARN AT LEAST ABCD OF CHRISTIANITY FROM NOW. I WANT YOU TO ANSWER WHAT IS AMAL. DON'T FEEL SO HAPPY YoU WILL NOT GET THIS ANSWER IN ANY SITE.

How is Allah the righteous God of Abraham if he can accept some sin?

1- the Lord [] of the 'Âlamîn (mankind, jinn and all that exists).

2- Adam repented from his sin and Allah accept it.

    -Quran

Then they both ate of the tree, and so their private parts became manifest to them, and they began to cover themselves with the leaves of Paradise for their covering. Thus did Adam disobey his Lord, so he went astray (121) Then his Lord chose him, and turned to him with forgiveness, and gave him guidance (122)

    -bible

    - The Bible told us that GOD created the fruitful trees on the earth before the creation of the tree that Adam ate from and that is because Adam was created for the earth “And the LORD God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil” Genesis 2:9 NIV

    - The Bible says “And the LORD God said, " He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever. So the LORD God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life” Genesis 3:22-24 NIV

    - King David said in the Bible that GOD forgave sins without crucification “You forgave the iniquity of your people and covered all their sins”

    _____________________

"All sin was bad and any sin was too much sin"

    3-do you mean

Theft=Murder , how weird is that??

    _________________

The serpent lied and said "You will not surely die"

    4- Torah was changed

-- The Bible says that GOD said to Adam “But you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die" Genesis 2:17 NIV

    - Adam didn’t die in the same day as stated, but he lived 950 years, why?lol.

    is your god a lair???

There is something called forgiveness,Allah(swt) forgive, that's why ppl are allowed to go to heaven

•••â–º[2:268] The Evil one threatens you with poverty and bids you to conduct unseemly. Allah promiseth you His forgiveness and bounties. And Allah careth for all and He knoweth all things.

•••â–º[5:9] To those who believe and do deeds of righteousness hath Allah promised forgiveness and a great reward.

Adam repented and was forgiven and he didn't need Jesus to die for him :)

    ______________

On another subject as a muslim we believe that no one bare the sin of another person. We are all children of Adam,we do not bare the sin that he committed cause God(swt) forgave him

•••â–º“Thus did Adam disobey his Lord, so he went astray.

Then his Lord chose him, and turned to him with forgiveness, and gave him guidance”

    [Ta-Ha 20:121-122]

This indicates that Adam committed sin, but he was not left to persist therein, and he repented to Allaah from that.

A child do not bare the sin of his father, just think abt it,lets say my father is a non believer in God and i am ,according to christians analogy i'll be forbidden heaven bcz of my father O-o does that even make sence?!

I don't need to be babptized in order to be forgiven of a sin that I did NOT commit and that God(swt) forgave already that person who committed.

Jesus(pbuh) is not my Lord nor i'll be forgived through him for a sin that i didn't do
