Where can I get some good automotive advice?
I have a 1994 Chevrolet cavalier. It looks like I will need to replace the entire brake system as the breaks seem shot to hell. How much will that cost? I paid like 600$ for the car and it was great for a couple years but Im wondering if its worth it to get the vehicle fixed or if I should just save up and buy another one. Also, does anyone know where I can go to get good advice on places to take it to, and price quotes and the like?

i doubt you have to change it all unless you have been driving with poor brakes for a very long time. i would bet you only have one problem with them. buy a manual and do it yourself brakes are simple and not much tools are needed

I heavily doubt you've got the ability to cajole that broking to share the fee. yet that the transmission leaks is not any ask your self nevertheless if the two substantial exterior seals, the front seal and the rear seal, develop into no longer replaced while the transmission develop into bumped off. You did no longer say whether or no longer the broking cautioned changing those and that i could be very shocked in the event that they did no longer. changing the front and rear transmission seals is SOP while the transmission is bumped off for any purpose even though it purely isn't stored faraway from shopper approval. as quickly as those seals age they're going to harden some and then the hardened seals are incredibly broken with the removal and reinstallation of the tranny.

if You decide to "do Yourself" ,please get someone who has done it before with You.( Brakes are not a joke ,Your life or someone else, safety must not be sacrifice for money)
