Stop GW and save the world ?

Tell me, how many of you people really believe that if we stop using the worlds oil that we can save this would as we know it ? Do you really believe that the weather will settle down and stay one temp all years long ? Do you think the earth will stop shaking and we will no longer have earth quakes if we park our cars ? I have heard that today's young males are going crazy and shooting people and its caused by man made global warming....really ? So if we stop using oil, the world will be a perfect Shangri-la/Eden......weather will be nice, rains will come and go just when they are supposed to, no more quakes, no more floods, no more hurricanes or tornadoes, flowers will bloom and trees will forever be green, etc etc etc.....and all it would take is for use nasty dreaded humans to give up our vehicles and toys ?

I really want to know how anyone can believe that they are so powerfull that they can change the very climate of a planet,,,,,its not the sun or the moon or the universe....its all man caused ?

Make ya wonder what the cavemen were eating that caused so many farts that they caused the first ICE AGE ! (They did not have motor vehicles remember)

Yup, your absolutely right (mostly). Man did not create global warming. It is fact that it has happened before make it caused naturally. But in reality, we are contributing to it. We create holes in the ozone layer, causing UV rays to heat the Earth. That is the comment that you will hear from most, along with the economic downcline has made the Earth cooler. These statements held true for a time, but as anyone can see climate is an ever-changing aspect of life. We as humans don't truly know the perfect temperature for the Earth, rather what it is for us to sustain life. That is why some dumb democrats in office decided it would be cool to tax citizens to "fight" global warming.

Back to your original question, oil can cause a bit of global warming if overused in less efficient ways. It honestly will do more damage to the air rather then the atmosphere itself. So, to sum it up, climate change is real, but that doesn't mean humans are the biggest cause of it. Feel free to add on or email me with any more questions.

What I keep wondering about is that as populations have increased and fossil fuel use has increased the climate optimums have gotten milder and cooler. The 3,000 year long Holocene optimum was the warmest of the optimums of the last 13,000 years. Then there was the Roman optimum that was a little cooler and only lasted about 700 years. Then the next was the 400 year long medieval warm period that was much cooler than the Holocene and the Roman. Now our current modern optimum that has lasted only 150 years has been the coldest yet, Maybe one anthropologist I read a few years ago was correct in his statement that those who feel our world is to warm are really survivors of the Neanderthal race that have bred into the human race but still cannot tolerate interglacial warm periods.

So the question comes to mind, did humans kill off the Neanderthals because they tried to prevent the development of modern technology and improve human life styles. I can just see the AGW movement of the year 7000 after the world warmed up again following the 8000 year event. The Neanderthals are parading around with signs calling for an end to fire and agriculture that caused the world to warm up and overheat.

So is it possible that today's AGW and NWO promoters are the last gasp of the Neanderthal race trying to eliminate evil human technology so they can return to their primitive life style and the world to the ice age they feel is the only proper climate.

I agree with your article, some of the accusations against humans don't make any sense! Although I have never heard the one about "young males... going crazy and shooting people" from global warming, but I can believe that the crazy environmentalists would say that; they blamed the New Orleans hurricane disaster on global warming!

Don't forget that we will have to also reduce the number of humans to around 2 billion, the magical number that the Earth can sustain without harm. Other than that, the hippie philosophy is correct.

Your assumptions are pretty out of whack...global warming causing earthquakes and "young males shooting people"? Are you kidding me?

Why don't you try reading what the scientists are actually saying, instead of just building ridiculous straw man arguments and then pretending you're smart by tearing them down.

Start with this National Academy of Sciences report, try to read it, and come back with an argument against the actual science, rather than just your own imagination of the science. You may just get taken seriously for a change.
