Christians, where are all the unicorns?

The word translated unicorn was re'em. A deer like animal that was around until modern times but is now extinct

The Hebrew word represented in the King James Version by “unicorn” is re’em, which undoubtedly refers to the wild ox (urus or aurochs) ancestral to the domesticated cattle of today. The re’em still flourished in early historical times and a few existed into modern times, although it is now extinct. It was a dangerous creature of great strength and was similar in form and temperament to the Asian buffaloes.

In the King James time, a unicorn was basically livestock. Correction, oxen. It was not always meaning the mythical animal.

Unicorn

described as an animal of great ferocity and strength (Num. 23:22, R.V., "wild ox," marg., "ox-antelope;" 24:8; Isa. 34:7, R.V., "wild oxen"), and untamable (Job 39:9). It was in reality a two-horned animal; but the exact reference of the word so rendered (reem) is doubtful. Some have supposed it to be the buffalo; others, the white antelope, called by the Arabs rim. Most probably, however, the word denotes the Bos primigenius ("primitive ox"), which is now extinct all over the world. This was the auerochs of the Germans, and the urus described by Caesar (Gal. Bel., vi.28) as inhabiting the Hercynian forest. The word thus rendered has been found in an Assyrian inscription written over the wild ox or bison, which some also suppose to be the animal intended (comp. Deut. 33:17; Ps. 22:21; 29:6; 92:10).

They became extinct due to over harvesting for wand use.

No. Wait! That can't be right. Maybe the Hebrew translated unicorn actually referred to a different animal. Yeah. That sounds a lot more probable.

Most of them are extinct, but there are still creatures that have a single horn, which is all that a "unicorn" is.

BTW, the word that was translated as unicorn actually refers to a wild bull.

So a word that actually means Wild Ox or Wild Bull was called unicorn instead of something like, oh I don't know, buffalo.

I've read Job repeatedly in almost all versions, I have never seen these lines. IF they are in fact there, then it is metaphorical, a way to change Job's mind as in the recent versions they do, and it works.

The Bible has some metaphors but has also historical facts.

God also has the strength of a unicorn.

Numbers 23:22 God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.

They didn't make it onto the Ark.

To be fair, the unicorn is in the King James Version; there are no unicorns in the real Bible.

The Hebrew word rem, translated "Unicorn" (Job 39, 9-12), indicates a two-horned animal; the proper rendering of the sentence "the horns of unicorns" (Deut. 33, 17) being "the horns of a unicorn." It is probable that the animal referred to is the extinct Wild Ox or Aurochs (Bos tauni s primigenius), which, as indicated by Assyrian sculptures, of one of which an illustration is shown in the case, was living in Asia Minor in Biblical times. By Dr. Duerst the Syrian Aurochs is considered a distinct species.

If this be correct, the " wild bull in a net" (Isa. 51, 20) must refer to a different animal—the Hebrew 16—although the species cannot be determined. It may be mentioned that at the present day the word rim, probably the equivalent of rem, is applied by the Arabs to a N. African species of Gazelle ; the name having perhaps been transferred to that animal after the extermination of the Aurochs. A cast of a skull of the latter animal is shown in the North Hall, and a photograph of another skull is exhibited in the left-hand wall-case
