What kind of outfit should I wear to my first day of school?

You don't have to dress up for the first day of school. Your right, everyone always tries to wear the best things they have. All I'm wearing is denim shorts with a v-neck tee-shirt with orange flowers on it. Wear something you like and is cute. :)

but in short, dress comfortably, something that shows who you are. a first impression isn't always about looking good if you do that on a regular basis.

If you are another Sienna Miller, and have some sort of style button in your brain that's always on, don't worry about it, and wear what you feel like wearing on the first day, even if it's just a shirt and jeans, which is what it is basically, for most people.

anyway, i believe what you wear towards the end of the year is more impressionable. people don't have the energy to remember what you wore on the first day of school. ;)

I know exactly what you mean! I'm gonna be a junior in High School this year, and usually I care about how I look on the first day and make sure I look really cute, but now I'm just kind of tired of that.

I think I'll probably just wear jeans and a tee, nothing too fancy or over-done. It's your choice, whatever you're most comfortable in.

wear something that suits your personality, never do something because someone else or everyone else does or is. don't get too dressed up yet don't under dress because like you said first impressions are important, especially, if you look super dressed up the teachers will think you'll be a rich, snobby child whom they will have trouble with, but then again if you under dress they'll think your a slacker who's not going to give a crap about passing or school at all. so like i said before wear something that expresses your style and personality.

omg u guys are kinda unlucky compared to me. in my school we have a uniform so we don't have to worry bout any of this stuff, but at the same time i wish we could wear our own clothes.

anyway, well wear something that looks really nice but u haven't tried hard to get the look. So wear something that u like, maybe something that people always compliment - like a nice top, throw on your fave jeans, put some really nice accessories with it, do your hair how u like (straight, curly etc) maybe put a flower in you hair, put on your fave dollie shoes and there you go.

Wow heavily. i visit sound fairly mean (like a *****) good now yet it is barely to your very own good. advance UP. heavily. vogue fairly would not rely. adult males do not even care what you're donning as long as you flash you boobs them each now after which and dont seem positioned on issues that the older generations might positioned on. Have your very own style. in case you stick to the group how is all and sundry going to ever observe you? What effect do you think of you would be putting on others in case you visit college with dressmaker outfits? I guess they does not elect to aim to speak to you because of the fact they would be fearful of shifting into difficulty with the snob of the faculty.

hmm i'd be a little dressed up the first day but not looking like your trying really hard so if you wear something simple, accessorize alot and if you wear something nice, only wear a few things

but also i asked a question like this and people said that if you dress really nice the first day, thats their first impression of you and think you dress like that everyday, which i think is kinda true so think about that also

Wear something that you really like. it doesnt have to be brand new. you can wear old jeans as long as they fit will, are comfortable, and you personally like. freshen them up with accessories. like a studded belt or a colorful necklace or some cute bangles. Good luckkk (=

just go to the mall and look for clothes and the whatever you like the most just buy it and wear it the first day of school...thats what i would do

Ok so. I don't really know what your style is but, maybe you should choose two outfits, on that's a little more... out there, and one that's a little more "laid-back". That way when school starts you can just choose, by what mood you're in on that particular day! hope it helps! :D
