How would you interpret this, and how would you connect it to the novel of Mice and men, by John Steinbeck? I haven't read The great gatsby (not in 11th grade) soo, I can't use that as an example.

Which should I get?

I'm just using it for general things like surfing the web, typing essays, photo booth, and some simple photo editing.

This is probably my 10th question about Macs, but I just want to know, have you ever had a Mac computer/notebook, which one was it, and how did you like it?

Well, never mind. I know the answer is, different operating systems. I'm wondering, what will the comparision be between a Macbook 1000$ and a Windows PC Laptop of the same price? Because it seems like as the Macbook that costs 1000 is a base model, it will be kind of like a netbook from Windows in which case, I won't like it. and if I get a 1000$ windows laptop, it will be high-end with better specs. I have the 1000$ already. Would I be better off getting the Macbook or a windows laptop of the same price?

I'm getting my Macbook soon and everybody has been asking me WHAT i like about them over PC computers, and I don't know what to say. I just like them better, I've been on one and it just seemed better than a PC. What would you say is good about them? Before I go out and spend my 1000$ on one?

I am adding configurations to my Macbook and have 3 questions. Sorry this is like the 10th question I've asked about the Macbook but I can't seem to get the right answer.

1) Is 2gb of ram enough for running an Internet window with Facebook and picnik.com to edit photos, and iTunes to listen to music? I want it to still work fast.Thats what I usually do. I only edit photos not videos, and I just use light internet photo editing.

2) is 250 gb of hard drive space enough? I'll have maybe 500 photos on the computer and the rest are old photos so I think I'll store them on my external usb drive. Plus like 15gb of music and videos for my iTunes.

3) Do I need to get iWork? I had another question and somebody suggested to download openoffice which I have never used and does it have a powerpoint i am a student so i need that.. or should I just buy iWork??

when i was configuring the macbook i am buying soon it had 2 sections. one was memory RAM: I know ram stands for random access memory but, i still have nooo idea what it is.it says 2gb which i personally think sounds really small, cause my iPod has 16 gb. So, what is RAM and will 2gb be enough to run AIM, iTunes, and Internet at the same time? I have a 2003 compaq desktop now which is reallly slow even though we upgraded to windows xp a while ago, and it can barely run one program alone. So, if 2gb is enough to run those three, and fast, then that would be great! Now... the hard drive.. i am thinking of getting 320 gb of that, which is A LOT, compared to the 2gb that they have for the ram... what is the difference between the two and will they be enough?

What is the difference between the Ram memory on a macbook, and the hard drive on a macbook? I like to have lots of photos on my computer (though for that I could keep some on a usb drive) and I like to have really fast internet... for that, what should I pick for a configuration ? The ram from 2gb ---> 4gb or the hard drive from 250GB -----> 320GB.

The Apple Live chat people haven't really given me detailed answers so I would like your help.

I have already decided to get a Macbook. I might be a little short for money so i'm just going through the configurations I originally picked to see if I can cut off maybe 50 dollars or so. I planned to get 4gb of memory. However my dad, who is a PC user so i don't know if this is true for macs as well, said apple usually overcharges for extra ram and to upgrade it myself. That would cut 90 dollars off (i have the education discount) and that would be good. Is 2gb good enough? I don't do any video editing, and I don't like video chat either so that doesn't take up as much of the hard drive. I do picture editing but its pretty light... basically i just use picnik.com which is REALLY slow on my computer now (I have a compaq from 2003 but my dad upgraded the OS to windows xp in 2006 i think). So.. other than that I will use it to write essays, internet browsing, I will download AIM and use iTunes.. i will probably take pictures with the photobooth as well. Is 2gb enough for that? Also... first I had planned to get Microsoft office but I used a Macbook with iWork and it worked just fine.. had a lot of good things on it, wasn't very basic at all like the live chat people told me. However, in cutting more money off I was thinking of just using the program that comes free, "text edit." but , i haven't tried that out and have NO idea what it really is.. if its just windows pc's "notepad" with a different name, then i will have to buy iWork. Also, if you know anything else about Macs, please include that. Thank you!

I would like to get a Macbook for next year since I need a laptop cause i'm switching schools to a school where they require them. I almost have enough money for a macbook with all the configurations i want and tax added on and stuff.. i would mostly use it for internet browsing, typing essays, the webcam, aim, itunes, basic things like that. Since I have almost all the money and there is nothing else I would like to buy with it do you think I should get this laptop, and is it a good laptop?

I've almost decided to get it because I've already saved almost 900 dollars and I am looking to buy the cheapest Macbook, which with the education discount (I typed in my school and it says I get 100$ off) is only 900 dollars but with the add-ons like more memory, Microsoft Office and sales tax is about 1230$. I'm just looking for opinions on the Macbook. My reasons to get it is because it is faster, I need a laptop because I am switching to a private school where their really pushing for people to buy them to use for classes, and I have to admit, the main reason is because I think their pretty cool. I like the webcam, and basically just how they work (I've been on my friends numerous times). I don't use Macs for the graphics typically and I don't play computer games so I'm not someone who would be against it because there's not as many games available. I would mostly use it for surfing the Internet, and doing schoolwork. The Apple Live chat people were not much help, so can you tell me... would getting the Macbook be a good computer for me?

I calculated everything and I am getting it at the first week of September... I already have calculated it with tax and all the add-ons like Microsoft Office for Mac, More Memory, etc, and subtracted how much I have already saved from the total it will cost. I need to earn 22$ a week every week from here forward, and I do not know how I will earn that much without getting a job. I am going to be a sophomore next year but I will only be 14 this summer and the places that are in my area that I can WALK to only hire people that are 15+

I really would like this laptop, and I actually am required to have a laptop for next year, as I am switching to a private school...however my parents do not have enough money to purchase this laptop (I'm on scholarship for school) but I would still really like to buy this. There is supposed symbolism in the title "Of Mice and Men". I think it is just that Lennie likes mice and he is a man, who doesn't know his own strength and throughout the books, kills mice, puppies, and finally, Curley's wife; but is it more than just Lennie being a man who likes mice?
