self portrait idea, please help?

I have to do a self portrait for school, i have a few ideas but i was thinking of maybe doing a drawing of me when i was younger, is that still a self portrait?

    That's still a self portrait, yes, as it is you drawing/painting yourself.

    You Could Do Anything That Represents You Or You Character? Say, If You Are Good At Art.. You Could Add Something Related Into It. I'm Not Too Sure What A Photography Course Involves But I Think Adding Stuff That Resembles You Or Parts Of You You Like Would Help (:
