Can a double positive form a negative?
A linguistics professor was lecturing to his class one day. "In English," he said, "A double negative forms a positive. In some languages, though, such as Russian, a double negative is still a negative. However, there is no language wherein a double positive can form a negative."
A voice from the back of the room piped up, 'Yeah, right.'

Excellent joke. For those that dont get it. Yeah and Right are both positive words and the phrase "Yeah Right" is a negative. For language barriers "Yeah right" is what you say when you dont particularly agree with someone

Funny, but technically, the professor is right. The difference between "Yeah right" and other double positives is "Yeah right" is said with sarcasm, which reverses the meaning.
Still funny, though.
