How do I not get depressed about finding a new job?

Question

I have been applying for new jobs for about 3 months now and have had ONE interview to a job I really wasn't interested in.  I just keep getting regected and I don't know why.  

I have 2+ years experience in the areas I am applying for and I have checked my resume and cover letters with friends and family who all seem to think they look good - and yet I still can't get a job.

I am still in my current job (need a new job cause I will be moving house in a few months) so I am not desperate for a new job yet - but I am getting very down on the whole issue because no-one seems to realise what a good worker I could be.

Does anyone have some words of encouragement for me?

Hey girl I was just like you but I've been searching for 6 months until I found one. Went through 2-3 interviews and didn't get hired. I finally got hired for a job so your best bet is to just keep looking until you find something. Don't give up. I kept telling myself "you'll get something, the economy sucks, don't give up on yourself just yet."

And its true, the economy does suck. It sucks so bad, people don't want to hire right now when the economy sucks. But just keep applying everywhere until you find something. You have to listen to that part of you that knows better, that part of you that says "you're worth it and you can't give up on yourself. You are worth fighting for."

Use prayer to get you through these hard economic times, its not your fault that you dont have a job the economy is so bad right now thats its hard for anyone to get a job. Dont just apply for jobs and expect them to call you back, you make sure that you call them also to check on your application, dont be the average person that is waiting for the callback because there are many people who are applying for the same position. Make it your duty to call a couple days after you submit your application this will let the Employer know that you are very interested in this job

Don't be.
It's not always about applicants. Some highly qualified people usually suffer from the same thing. Most employers looking for their own interests such as minimizing employees number, low wages and so on.
Meanwhile, you may need to consider global recession circumstances. 
Trust me, it is all about that.
