God made the earth in 7 days sooo...?
Since those 6,000 years how long did it take him to make the other trillions of trillions of planets?
7 times several trillion just doesn't add up...

I'd recommend a study of both scripture and astrophysics.
Time is rubber. It is stretchable, it is elastic. How time passes depends largely on your point of view.
Thus, it's entirely theoretically possible that time passes at one rate at the edge of the Universe, at another rate at our distance from the center of the Universe, and still another rate at the Universe's point of origin. It is possible that the earth is billions of years old from where we sit, and merely days old from the point of the Universe's origin.
One physicist has invested a great deal of time on this subject, and claims the math works out correctly to suggest that this is indeed the case.
Look it up!

I love how one of these answers says that since it is god, he can extend the length of days to however long he wants. What a load of crap.
It's great, everytime something challenges god, the most made up nonsense is created.
The true answer is, he did not create the planets/universe, nor does he even exist in the first place!
It is called science.
Shortcake: Earth has been inhabited for more than 6,000 years, try on the lines of millions of years, and that has been proven true, so god kind of loses there *cough* just like every other time *cough*

It is Adam --the first man-- who was created just over 6,000 years ago, not the earth. The universe & the earth were already in existence *before* day one of the Genesis Creation account:
"The Genesis account opens with the simple, powerful statement: 'In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.' (Genesis 1:1)
"Bible scholars agree that this verse describes an action separate from the creative days recounted from verse 3 onward. The implication is profound. According to the Bible’s opening statement, the universe, including our planet Earth, was in existence for an indefinite time before the creative days began."
Genesis 1

You're assuming Earth was made first. And, actually, it doesn't say the Earth was created in seven days. If you read Genesis 1, it says the earth was void and without form. This could simply mean that it was dark and rather shapeless, nothing too spectacular. What Genesis does say is that in seven days, light was created and separated into the sun, moon, and stars; water was separated and continents formed; and the earth was then inhabited by plants, animals, and finally, humans.
So, if you take an actual, literal reading of Genesis, it doesn't give any indicationt that the Earth is 6000 years old. Just that it's only been inhabited for 6000 years.

Wrong. The earth was created in 6 days; God rested on the 7th day. But whose "day" is being referred to in the account of creation? Dinosaurs aren't mentioned in the Bible; they might be found in the missing account between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. The Bible isn't a complete account of everything there is.

No, it was in 6 days.
Many Christians like myself have no problem with a big bang, or God working in an evolutionary process. Day is used figuratively for a period of time in many scriptures, and the day/age theory of the creation believes there can be millions to billions of years between the days.
The order for the creation parallels the same order science gives. First comes the heavens (stars, etc.), then an empty earth without form, then land followed by oceans, then plant life followed by the first intelligent life in the sea, then comes birds (which according to science are descendants of dinosaurs), then mammals, then a more specific wild animal, and finally man. It's actually amazing that it gives an order 3,000 plus years before science confirms that same order.
Adam is not created until after the seventh day, and the day/age theory believes the man created on the sixth day is not the same as Adam who is first mentioned after the seventh day. That allows for cave men, and explains where Adam and Eve's children found wives, since there were people before them.
As far as intellegent design, when some Christians latch onto a world that is 6,000 years old, the thought of "not intelligent" comes to my mind. They need to be convinced that science is not the enemy, that science actually corroborates the biblical order. Likewise, non-religionists need to explain how Genesis came up with the same order as science, considering how that might relate to intelligent design.

Not only did He create every single planet, vapor, molecule, atom, cloud, etc, etc, etc but He maintains them at this very moment. He holds all creation together and He keeps it "moving".
Now that you know that how hard would it be for God to create trillions upon trillions upon trillions of planets, and galaxies, and solar systems? It would be nothing for Him to do. Less than absolute zero effort.

God has created this world with astonishing balance in all of its components. This delicate balance prepared the universe to fit the life of the mankind, and this reality implies that man came to this earth to do a mission which is worshipping the creator of this magnificent universe. So let's review how each detail in this universe could affect our existence if it was not at the delicate balance, it exists now

I look at your avatar and I understand your question...
Ok. "Day" is translated from "yom", hebrew for "period".
Our constellations are 12 - yet there are many other ones - and for the earth alone to make one round takes approx 25920 years...That would be one turn of the big handle for Adam alone. For God, who knows how many trillions of turns to make up one second...Adam lived "outside" only one day - as God had told him - and died after some 900 years, more or less, within the "day" of 1000 years, according to one measurement God gave - one day equals 1000 years for God, etc...

It is said that "to God a day is as a thousand years". So how long were those 7 days;) Plenty long I should think to make everything needed and wanted.
