i'm really nervous about quitting my job!! help?

Question

I'm only 17, but way too stressed out at work already. My boss is an old jerk. Last Saturday, he did not say one positive thing to me all day. He kept criticizing how I'm doing everything wrong and what not. I asked for a raise (bc it's been a year) and he flat out said absolutely not. I asked why and didn't even give me a clear response. I'm terrified of going anywhere near his office because he always questions me and makes me feel bad when I open my mouth. I hate my coworkers and the job just doesn't interest me anymore. I leave for vacation in two weeks. Should I tell him this week that I'm only working until I leave and won't be coming back after that? What do I say to him? Help, please!

It's not healthy to be so stressed out by work alone at 17. As teenagers we have enough things in life to stress us out; your boss should not add to that pile. You will feel much better if you tell your boss that you won't be returning to work after your vacation. Tell him as soon as possible, so that you may enjoy your vacation more. Good luck!

Jobs these days are unfortunately very hard to find. Although you might not be in the best situation, it would be best to keep this job, and keep your eye out for another job.  When you have found another job that you feel would fit your needs better, then giving your 2 weeks notice to your current employer, being polite, saying thank you for the time here, but I have found another opportunity.
