copy html tables to spreadsheet?

I would like to copy information from a website that is in tables

http://www.telcodata.us/telcodata/telco?npa=718&ex...

to a spreadsheet.... I use google docs for my spreadsheets, but i doubt that I can accomplish this using google docs... if this is possible with open office or some other similar free program please let me know how it can be done... thank you..

    There is no easy way or guaranteed way to do this since each web page may use a different layout technique.

    You best option is to us the Import feature in Excel.

    Data Menu -> Import External Data -> Import Data...

    From the dialog box, at the bottom, choose Web Pages as the file type, and then type or paste the URL to the website with the information.

    Click OK and then follow the prompts and choose different options in the resulting dialog boxes. Hopefully one of the options/choices will work.

    I just gave this a try with OpenOffice.orgCalc and it works brilliantly for formatting - it does create all the data as hyperlinks though.

    Insert Menu -> Link to External Data...

    Type the URL of the web page.

    Wait for the "Available tables/ranges" box to fill in.

    Then choose the HTML Table. (It was the second option in the list for me.)

    Click OK

    Wait for it to insert the data.
