Any suggestions for a cheap vacation?

So hear is the deal...

I have been working 40+ hours a week school another 20 hours a week, I just broke up with my girlfriend and have been unsuccessful in my attempt to buy a new house (I keep getting outbid)

I am in serious need of a vacation, however with the going to school and the wanting to buy a house I can not afford to go out of town. I do not want to stay in my house because I need to get away from my roommates.

I can only spend about $500. I was not able to do the whole spring break thing this year because I was not able to get off work.

Any help would be much appreciated, i just need to get away for a little while.

    try going to vrbo.com (vacation rental by owner). With the economy being what it is, you can negotiate even better prices than what you see online.

    You can go on a Bahamas cruise for $300.

    Actually, here's a 4 day cruise from Miami for $200. With tips, and transport to Miami you'll be right around $500.
