Do you think AIG executives should receive $112,000 bonuses after receiving a huge bailout from your money?

While you have to save up to afford a trip to McDonald's?

Update:

Talent?? They had the biggest drop in profits in history. The largest quarterly loss ever. It is greed, pure and simple and it needs to stop

Would they have got it if there was no bail out? Don't see how when you have no money! So no they should not be getting it! You get bonuses for meeting quotas and job well done. Is this how they see their performances?

What are we talking about? A bonus is extra money paid on top of the salary, for superior performance. Where is the superior performance at AIG ? When they have lost an enormous amount of money. If the best lives the firm, surely the people that will replace those gone, will not be any worse.

Yes if you don't want that bailout money wasted. If you let good talent get away by paying them below market rates, you are going to get inferior talent come in to replace them and the company will be doomed for sure.

Plus, how is paying them less money going to help you buy a burger at McDonalds? Do you think AIG would be sending you a check if they didn't pay the bonuses to their executives?

Later: Yeah, the whole world had their largest quarterly loss ever at this time, it's called a recession.

yes, they should get their pay and bonus's. the govenernment should have never given them any sort of bailout. if the company had gone bankrupt, they wouldn't get a bonus...they were propped up and now have to honor thier obligations to creditors and its employee's.
