Family not on 1891 census?
I am trying to find William BLORE (born 1848, Middx) and his wife Harriet in the 1891 census (Camberwell, or thereabouts) without sucess. I have tried alernative spellings BLOOR and BLOR. They appear in the 1881 and 1901 censuses and had 10+ children by 1901, all born in London, so I dont imagine they went very far.
Any ideas?

Yes,many people avoided the census, they may have lived with another family in their house and were not put down, it happened, record keeping wasn't so good then,i can find all my mothers family going back to the 1700s, but i cant trace my fathers at all from 1914 back, they just seem to disappear! I have also found difficulty with birth records because the spelling wasn't so good then either, you could be putting in a name and its down as something completely different,i had trouble with tracing a relative and found out that her mother had married again and all the children had taken their step fathers surname!

Have you tried searching a different area, I think I would check that out first of all. My family were never listed in the same place on any two census returns. They did a lot of "moonlight flits" I was told.
Hope this helps.

You have the birth date for both adults how far back do you want to go try a date around 1841 when the older of the two adults would be one this would give you his parents then enter the nearest date for his wife to find her parents.
