Microsoft Word does NOT have a predictive text feature.

There are ways to make some typing easier, though.

Let's say you go to Central High School, and don't want to type that all the time. Go to Tools/Auto Correct Options. Enter in the table :

Replace chs with Central High School.

Any time you type chs, it will automatically be replaced with Central High School. It is best NOT to choose a common letter combination. What happens then is EVERY time you hit those keys, it's replaced, even if you don't want it replaced. Hit UNDO one time to fix it.

Consider: If chs is likely to occur too many times, use chsss for Central High School. Still easy to type, but not likely to occur.

    Good luck.

PS: If you are interested, the "Writer" module of the Open Office suite DOES have the predictive text feature available. Check it out! You can even get a portable version of it at portableapps.com so you can carry a working version of Writer around with you on your flash drive and always have the predictive text feature available.

It probably depends om what version you are using..

Try Tools, Autocorrect options and write the first letters and what you want it to be replaced with or use the Auto text the same way.
