yes

No, I would not, no matter how close I was to them...when someone is involved in a crime, it is not in their best or your own to brush that under the rug, so to speak. Sometimes letting the one/ones we love most learn from their experience is the best way to show we love them the most. Its not that we display hate to them, by getting them to go face the consequences, its that we want them to correct the error they have made. In the long run, depending on the crime committed or assisted, it could mean their life. Just my two cents worth. Take care.

I have a nephew that has disgraced the family. He is AWOL. I have been dealing with reporting him and not reporting him to the authorities.

One one hand, I feel loyalty to my country and the laws in which we live.

On the other hand, I feel loyalty to my nephew. He's a good kid, just made a really bad choice. He plans to turn himself in within a few months, but I don't know if he will.

I guess the one thing that has really stopped me from reporting him, is that I have no idea exactly where he is.

I have in the past reported family members...It is just as much a crime to harbor a criminal!
