I've port-scanned my test computer and have open ports (on purpose), so what?

Question

I'm trying to break my own test computer to see if this security thing is a load of crap or not! Ok, I have open ports but what now? How can I wreck it? I'm pretending to be a hacker to test my security out. I've opened my ports on my other comp, but how can i do summut to it?

you can telnet to open ports and try to abuse them.  ports may have things listening on them that you can exploit but you have to research the port number and figure out what software is on the other end and if it's exploitable.

every computer has some open ports.  you obviously have port 80 if you're getting to the internet.
