Why do guys talk about how pretty other girls are around their wives/girlfriends?

Question

Girls, do you talk about how attractive other guys are when you are with your bf/husband?  Do you mention how great their butts are or how sexy their bodies look around your husband/bf?

I realize all of us see attractive members of the opposite sex and think about how sexy they look, but I was always taught to be considerate of my partner and not talk about other guys when I was with them.  So why do guys do this?  Guys/girls, how do you feel about it when your spouse/gf/bf does this?  Does it bother you or do you just ignore it?

How do you feel about it when yiour partner wants you to look at a nude or semi-nude photo of the opposite sex that they think is attractive?  Maybe I am wrong but I feel like he has no respect for me or my feelings.  What if they do this in spite of the fact that you have indicated it offends you?  Am I just being too sensitive?

I'm sorry if he does this to you. A real man does not do this, my husband has never done this in 15 years of marriage. He is very considerate of my feelings. I have caught him looking, but he quickly denies it. He does not go out of his way to hurt me which is what your man is doing. That is out right disrespect for you and your relationship.

My sisters husband would do this in front of her, he eventually cheated on her. If this is where his heart is which it clearly is, then he cheating or will cheat. The fact that he likes to do this in front of you is quite disturbing to me. 

The bible says you are what you think, and a man will play out eventually what is in his mind. Don't put up with this!. We all know men will look, because we do, but he doesn't need to look that long or ever make a out of the way comment!. Put up a higher standard for yourself, teach him how to respect you. It can be better than this, don't accept mediocracy.

Well my husband and I both do this. If we see someone who is good looking we can say this to each other, or look at the nude pics together and comment. We are both very secure in our relationship though and know that the other person isn't going to go and cheat. But if you have voiced that you are not comfortable with it and told him it offends you, he really should respect your wishes and keep his little comments for when he is around his buddies or just to himself.

I feel the same way. My boyfriend looks at chicks a lot and will occassionally comment "Wow, she has a nice a**" or something along that line and I'm like what the heck?! I guess guys will always look at other women and some are just bold enough to say it. It would be nice if there was a guy who was content with just his woman.

Wow! thats soooo disrespectful! My guy doesnt do that, he never ever talks about other woman. makes me feel like im the only one in the world! Also, i never do that in front of him! of course i have no need to, i only have eyes for him!

but thats very hurtful, inconsiderate and disrespectful! A few guys i dated in the past did that, and, that was the end of them! i wont put up with that! so, let them know it hurts you, or get rid of them! there are guys out there who wont do that!

You need some self-respect.  This behaviour is creepy, crass, and offensive.  You were right when you said,"...I feel like he has no respect for me".  The question I have is Why do you put up with this?

I don't know of any guys who would talk that way in front of their GF or wife.
If they do they have no respect.
