Dem's are good for the economy but what about your personal check book?
What would spread the wealth do to you?
To your loved ones?
How do you feel about this proposed FREE money?

I'm not entirely sure your assumption that Dems are good for the economy is correct...I'd say sometimes each party can be good and sometimes they aren't. As for the follow-ups, there is no such thing as FREE money. The money came from someone's pocket. I do think that $250K (if that is in fact the figure that ends up being used in any tax bill next year) is low (and no, I don't make $250K nor will I anytime soon). $250K seems to me to still be in that window of a person really finally making it too the top...I personally am interested in how the decision was made that $250K was the magic "rich" $$$$ figure.

Actually, whether or not the Dems are better for the economy could be debated. In fact, the statistics there are skewed due to Roosevelt and Clinton (it was actually the Republican Congress that created the economic boom under Clinton).
The fact of the matter is the economy was strong or climbing under more Republican Presidents than Democratic Presidents throughout history.
Spreading the wealth is going to cost all of us money, because Obama can't pay for these plans with the cut in military budget and tax increases for the rich only. He's going to have to raise taxes for everyone just to get his wealth redistribution and socialized healthcare not to mention his world relief ideals and environmental aspirations. Nearly every non partisan analyst looking at his plans will tell you that he doesn't cover the costs for everything he wants to do in his plans.
Plus, Obama has outright said he wanted to roll back the Clinton years. EVERYONE had higher taxes during the Clinton years.
Giving tax money to people who don't pay taxes is just another form of wellfare whether Obama wants to call it that or not. Wellfare really hasn't ended poverty or even come close. In fact the system has been endlessly abused and is in terrible disrepair and actually encourages things like single parent families and jobless rates. I don't see how just throwing more money at people is going to actually solve the problem of poverty. It's a nice idea but it doesn't work in practice.
For Ronster: The "free money" comes from Obama's tax plan. Those making over $250,000 will be seeing a tax increase. That tax increase will go towards covering a tax refund for 90-95% of the population, or so Obama says. The fact is, only around 60% of the population pays taxes at all. Obama has said outright that he intends to give tax refunds to people who don't pay taxes. He comes just short of calling it wealth redistribution. Look up his plan completely insteand of just listening to speeches to get a full understanding.

Not sure where you got the FREE money from - But I will make it real simple for you.
If you make more than 250K a year, you will pay the same taxes you paid in the 90's. For the last 8 years these same people have had a huge tax break courtesy of the Republicans.
Those making less than 250K a year, will have more money to spend because they will be paying less taxes than they are now under Obama and the Democrats.

I am really disturbed that this lie has circled the world and not one ounce of truth in it. The facts have been so distorted and millions believe "the check is in the mail" crap. There is no check, no free money, no taking from the wealthy and giving to the poor. It was just a very bad rumor and propoganda in the McCain campaign.
