Is the song "Behind blue eyes" contradicting itself?
In the first part of the song the first person narrator tells about his feelings (that no one knows what it's like to be fated to telling only lies). So he might sing the song under the fate of telling lies too.
But in the third part he says "I'm not telling lies"
IMO it's a paradox like:
The sentence below is wrong.
The sentence above is true.
What do you think ?!?

Ah yes...but, if he is fated to always telling lies as he said, then when he says 'I'm not telling lies', he was, in fact, lying and was therefore actually saying 'I'm telling lies'.
Probably.

No one knows what its like
To be the bad man
To be the sad man
Behind blue eyes
No one knows what its like
To be hated
To be fated
To telling only lies
But my dreams
They arent as empty
As my conscience seems to be
I have hours, only lonely
My love is vengeance
Thats never free
No one knows what its like
To feel these feelings
Like I do
And I blame you
No one bites back as hard
On their anger
None of my pain and woe
Can show through
But my dreams
They arent as empty
As my conscience seems to be
I have hours, only lonely
My love is vengeance
Thats never free
When my fist clenches, crack it open
Before I use it and lose my cool
When I smile, tell me some bad news
Before I laugh and act like a fool
If I swallow anything evil
Put your finger down my throat
If I shiver, please give me a blanket
Keep me warm, let me wear your coat
No one knows what its like
To be the bad man
To be the sad man
Behind blue eyes
Sorry, the Who version doesn't have the "I'm not telling lies" line. Does it only feature in the Limp Bizkit version?
