This simple fact is that Obama is different. He's not part of the political mainstream. The people who are focused on the bs about whether he is Christian or Muslim, whether he's a natural citizen or not, whether his association with Bill Ayers matters or not, and other things, are just trying to minimize his so they don't have to talk about his ideas.

And while I don't think race is a significant issue in this election, I do think there are some people who are uncomfortable with the fact that Obama doesn't look like the dead white guys on your currency.

It is hard to believe that when we see his questionable acquaintances and lack of respect in print and in person.
